Honeymoon over Jos

Recommended Posts

I can’t for the life of me understand why you would play with no strikers when you have 2 in good form on the bench.

It wasn’t Man City away. A missed opportunity to get some points. They must have got an extra boost when they saw how much ridiculous respect we gave them with that line up.

Jos has had some mixed performances and results in difficult circumstances and I think he’s done ok but tonight he dropped a boll**k of the highest order.

We're solidly midtable.  We're going nowhere.

I don't mind some one off tactical experimentation.  This is Jos properly  sussing the squad in advance of this summer.

No we arnt, we are 8 points clear of burton and have played a game more then a few down there.

Dont get too comfortable yet, people said the same in 89/90 right till the final game v forest.

That was pathetic, dropping key players that have been deserving of a start.

We are still fighting relagation its not an end of season experiment.

Away end packed midweek at Millwall, you have got to feel for you loyal lot that has paid good money to see that line up.

Fuming .

Dont you mean  " The wall "

Pathetic

Solidly mid table - take a look and then have a glimpse at our remaining fixtures, our record v teams below us, our inability to score goals, our inability to stop goals and then think again

We've proven capable of grinding out nil nils.  We'll be fine.  Sunderland is down like the pound, and Hull City , Barnsley and Burton are right there.

Not worried.

Something to look forward too then.

Didnt DC say he wanted to bring attacking football to the club once?

Yes we have injuries but to leave out in form players?

By nature am a clapper and was rooting for Carlos maybe a month or two more than most but felt in the end it was definitely time for a parting of the ways.

With Jos, was genuinely impressed with the very different attitude among the players we saw at the Lane and encouraged by his trust in the youngsters.

That said, when Jos won plaudits with the win against Derby no one could have predicted the next two line ups he has picked. IMO he has not adequately explained his decisions and his allusions to fatigue and "two games in three days" excuse remind me of Carlos at his worst.

Like it or not, good communication is now part of the role of manager and If he continues to baffle the fan base he will alienate loyal supporters, lose his job and will have no one to blame but himself.

Too many of our fans spend too much time playing Championship Manager, or whatever it is feckin' called.

Let Jos get on with his job.

A job he's trying to do with a squad decimated of injuries.

I think that’s what people will do, leave him to get on with it Certainly can’t be much attraction in going to watch a performance like that last night at Millwall

Do you seriously expect a forum or fans in boozers to be saying 'ah well, nmind jos, you tried your very best'?

That old chestnut of playing football games too when people are exprressing an opinion or concern.

What I would expect, is for fans to realise that our squad is on it's arse.

Jos tried something different last night.

It didn't work.

We move on.

Anyone would think we're 10 points adrift at the bottom of the league, the way some individuals are harking on.
