torryowl Posted February 3, 2018 Share Posted February 3, 2018 all players make mistakes fred was at fault for the 1st and obviously wildsmith for 2nd .....how you react to making the mistake tells you what a player is about and both them didn't really err after messing up so should be cut some slack ......just don't do it again . McRightSide Posted February 4, 2018 Share Posted February 4, 2018 My guess is that Wildsmith did call but a fraction too late and that the caused the slightest hesitation in Venancio, which was critical. He couldn’t recover because his weight distribution was all wrong. It might look like he’s close, but he was never getting there. The part where you see an inexperienced goalkeeper is not so much the call but taking the line behind the player leaving the goal exposed - kind of in a similar way that an inexperienced defender often plays a back pass directly towards the goal.
