Football have moved on and progressed since those days. Megson , Pulis ,etc are football dinosaurs . We need a manager who has a modern outlook on the game in the David Wagner mould. Someone who can adapt his tactics and systems depending on the opposition , not a rigid 4-4-2  man .

Watched el clasico yesterday, both played a pretty rigid 4-4-2!

I watched it and was flabbergasted.

Do these Spanish idiots not realise that the Owltalk members do not condone 4 4 2.

Messi clearly knows nothing about our beloved game or he wouldn't allow himself to play in such a system.

Imagine having confidence that we are going to score from Set pieces.

Imagine having confidence that we won't concede from Set pieces.

Imagine the opposition being scared of trying to run through our midfield.

Imagine celebrating every corner as you believe we have another chance to Score.

Imagine the opposition Managers complaining about Megson's Wednesday after each and every Wednesday victory.

Imagine going to Bramall Lane confident that the Manager knows what to expect and knows nothing less than sweet revenge will do.

Imagine our current defenders looking world class within weeks as they no longer put the team in danger with their slow sideways football.

Imagine this with Hooper, Rhodes, Bannan and Forestieri and a couple of nasty ######## in midfield.

Imagine

No no no no no!

DC if you read this forum please know these incessant Megson threads are not representitive.

Do you mean not representative of Owltalk ,Wednesday  fans, or you.

Because I see many Megson threads but few about anyone else.

In my mind this means they are representing at least Owlstalk like it or not.

Do you really think DC will choose the next manager on what's said on here?

Or do you think your opinion is so great he should come directly to you for advice.

I think we should keep an eye on DC in the near future...

In his press releases or interviews. .

If we see this Emoji lol

Or he finishes his statements /interviews with FFS

Then maybe "we are rubbing off" on him

Just hope he doesn't do anything too hasty and hit the wrong emoji button ?

Oops butterfingers garymegson

Thats owlstalk predictive text again FFS.

Didn't say I thought it was big.

I said he is the one consistent call for a replacement.

I don't see dozens of threads about anyone else.

I don't necessarily think he is the right choice.

I dragged my arse round grounds like Dagenham and Redbridge and don't ever recall getting over excited about the football.

But I don't claim to know enough to say he is definatley a no no.

So I will have to bow down to your clearly superior knowledge.
