Jowl
Bannan is most certainly not the problem He's been play of the season up to now - just had a bad game tonight, He need to be further forward to do damage - not collecting the ball next to Loovens. And that is down to Carlos and his insane thinking of playing 4-4-2 every week and never changing

Tidy footballer but weak as urine, doesn't score goals, creates nothing, sits too deep, hides when it gets tasty, blames everyone else, passes only to Fletcher if he plays etc etc Not a patch on Lee Fk off Carlos and take Bannon to your next club so we can move forward One of the top 5 midfielders in the championship.
Walt
Anyone with half a brain would play a central midfield three as none of our lot are strong enough for playing in a two. It's not hard, it's basic flipping stuff, schoolboy stuff.
oldishowl
Bannan is part of the problem because our tactics are such that we rely on him too much and while he is a good footballer he is not capable of doing the job Carlos asks of him. It is nigh on impossible for him to control the game like Carlos asks him to do playing with only two men in centre mid.
boxing_day
The use of Bannan is the real problem. Too deep and players are told to find him as often as possible. Slows attacks down, stops us getting forward quickly and makes it easy to defend against. But that’s the manager that’s the problem not the player. hes had a good season but needs to contribute more in goals, and has certainly bottled a few tackles this season, the one that sticks in the mind was in the Derby first minute. But I wouldn’t be replacing him at the moment. I’d just be using him in a 3 up the pitch.
Mountain Owl
Hi Carlos so your'e now singling out Bazza instead of the ref, bad luck or the fans. Please do us a favour and walk.
swfc-dan
We dont have any enforcers apart from Hutch. DM and our wee wee poor CBs without Lees are our main problems. How we didn't rectify it in the summer is all Carlos fault. We know Hutch is a fitness liability yet no backup apart from useless Jones who does nothing. And with Loovens showing signs of aging and should only be a backup, we signed just a weak kid for millions for our defence. Idiotic and he needs to pay with losing his job. I rarely like to see managers sacked but this is getting beyond belief. Edited December 9, 2017 by swfc-dan
meggoisgod
Agreed that Carlos is the problem but building the team around Bannan is a key mistake...fkn useless unless he has some real muscle around him. Jones was more effective and he is fkn shiiite

roundhayowl
Said it time and time again - without the ball he is appalling and is a big reason why we are so soft centered.

edwinowl
F.ck me. Have you been on the sauce? Only player over last few games to come out with any credit. Poor today along with everyone else. CC is the problem everyone can see that. Time for change.
gurujuan
Ultimately the system we play is the biggest problem, but there are many We lack strength in the middle of the park, and are completely devoid of pace Today, you can add ineffective pairings all over the pitch Loovens and Van Aken, no chemistry whatsoever, Jones and Bannan, another 2 left footers who don’t mesh, and up front, Hooper and Rhodes, another ill matched pairing
j17tjp
Bannan is the top passer in the Championship if you think he's the problem, im not sure you've been to many games

We can accomodate them - with cover in a 4-3-3. Our Fullbacks are perfectly suited to playing a 5 man midfield when needed and dropping back as required
Bukta
I dread to think how poor we would be without a quality footballer like BB in the middle pulling the few strings that we have left in a team that has had all the confidence coached out of it. Same can be said about GH.

meggoisgod
We would be better in midfield with some energy like Lee and Butterfield
handworth52
Bannan only looks good when he has hutch in midfield with him .he cant tackle cant shoot cant score in fact catermole at Sunderland has more red cards than bannan has goals. He scores 1 in 46 games a successful team has a midfielder what can get 10-15 a season . 1
