Bannan is the problem

Recommended Posts

lol Bannan is most certainly not the problem He's been play of the season up to now - just had a bad game tonight,

He need to be further forward to do damage - not collecting the ball next to Loovens. And that is down to Carlos and his insane thinking of playing 4-4-2 every week and never changing

Said it for 18 months now. Tidy footballer but weak as urine, doesn't score goals, creates nothing, sits too deep, hides when it gets tasty, blames everyone else, passes only to Fletcher if he plays etc etc

Not a patch on Lee

Fk off Carlos and take Bannon to your next club so we can move forward

One of the top 5 midfielders in the championship.

Bannan is part of the problem because our tactics are such that we rely on him too much and while he is a good footballer he is not capable of doing the job Carlos asks of him.

It is nigh on impossible for him to control the game like Carlos asks him to do playing with only two men in centre mid.

The use of Bannan is the real problem. Too deep and players are told to find him as often as possible. Slows attacks down, stops us getting forward quickly and makes it easy to defend against. But that’s the manager that’s the problem not the player.

hes had a good season but needs to contribute more in goals, and has certainly bottled a few tackles this season, the one that sticks in the mind was in the Derby first minute. But I wouldn’t be replacing him at the moment. I’d just be using him in a 3 up the pitch.

We dont have any enforcers apart from Hutch. DM and our wee wee poor CBs without Lees are our main problems.

How we didn't rectify it in the summer is all Carlos fault. We know Hutch is a fitness liability yet no backup apart from useless Jones who does nothing. And with Loovens showing signs of aging and should only be a backup, we signed just a weak kid for millions for our defence.

Idiotic and he needs to pay with losing his job. I rarely like to see managers sacked but this is getting beyond belief.

Ultimately the system we play is the biggest problem, but there are many We lack strength in the middle of the park, and are completely devoid of pace

Today, you can add ineffective pairings all over the pitch Loovens and Van Aken, no chemistry whatsoever, Jones and Bannan, another 2 left footers who don’t mesh, and up front, Hooper and Rhodes, another ill matched pairing

Anyone with half a brain would play a central midfield three as none of our lot are strong enough for playing in a two. It's not hard, it's basic flipping stuff, schoolboy stuff.

No coincidence our best performances have come when 4-3-3. We have an abundance of centre midfielders and strikers. We can accomodate them - with cover in a 4-3-3. Our Fullbacks are perfectly suited to playing a 5 man midfield when needed and dropping back as required

The annoying thing is we have the players to play 3-5-2. It's obvious.
