I did like the old neons when they worked though. 

 

Was in awe when I first saw this as a kid.

That feeling never left whenever it was lit up.

Me too mate, it’d be great to see the lights back although there’ll be a health and safety reason now why we can’t have them.

 

The Jobsworths are probably worried about jumbo jets landing on the pitch, a bit like when Del Boy stuck a beacon on his veranda.

Sat in there many a game,first time was the night game where George best swapped wings and just tortured kenny burton for 45 minutes.

It reminds me of the late 50’s and 60’s architectural abortion’s that dominate our town and city centres, it has absolutely zero eye appeal, it’s history is incredibly sad, and realistically it is very difficult to get in and out of. Tear it down and replace it with a state of the art stand DC, you can afford it, and you’ve not yet put your stamp on the stadium.

When I first saw that eye sore , I thought somebody on here had made it as a joke . When I drove round there the other week , I couldn’t believe it was real. Must have looked a right spanner laughing out loud to myself . 

 

Nice of dc to think of the away fans and give them something to giggle at
