Did you ask the question

I couldn't make the meeting as I have previously stated. However, if someone is trying to borrow £2100 from you, would it not make sense to ask "how come you need to borrow £2100 when you told me you had £6000000 a few weeks ago?

Is the £6m still available in the next fortnight or has it disappeared?

Luckily, our chairman knows what he's doing, & where we need to strengthen, unlike some. Next step is to email all other Championship clubs to see if they want to sell a CB. Tell them we have wads of cash just waiting. If they say yes, we send a car & the whole deal is done in less than 24 hours. No negotiating, no messing about. Providing the other club want to sell, the CB wants to leave & you're content with the figures involved. Expect a feedback form in your inbox about 9pm one night, just before the amateurs involved put pen to paper.

Its for the club mate not the chairman. No, you just ask him to put his money into your club for your pleasure. How dare he ask you to do the same.

We already do put our money into the club. 3 year season tickets, highest POTD prices in the league, expensive replica kits (when on sale). IMO opinion that is more then enough.

I have said before I think it's a change of marketing that's all, "please help us" approach rather than "here is a product buy or don't buy up to you" approach.

What makes me laugh is how poor commercially we are, I don't mean kits or the shop (although well actually....) I mean corporate wise. Our offering is far to hard to obtain, poorly marketed and well over priced. An example of this is player sponsorship, only 3 or 4 squad members are sponsored, advertising space not utilised properly, as annoying as they were not even any adverts on the big screen pre match or half time. I'm afraid when looking at income the 1867 offering will be chicken feed compared to what these could offer the club.

I know someone who has sponsored a non regular first team player for £1500 a season regularly - who has been quoted £6800 plus VAT this year for the same player

They raised it at the Steering Group - and were very disappointed with the aggressive response from the Chairman.

It it just makes no sense to go to the fans with a begging bowl like 1867 and get this side so wrong.

If DCs thought process is to sponsor them himself at inflated rates then fine but for whelatever reason it doesn't happen and thus creates lost revenue stream. Boxes the same issue, digital marketing, merchandise how many others are there not utilised properly?

Its very bizarre for what is a clever business man.

It's only the bedwetting fans that are aggressive.

We needed a centre back and we got Reach and Rhodes. You claim someone doesn't know what he's doing. Are you referring to CC?

You're waffling on pal. If someone is trying to borrow £2100 off you and they claim they had £6000000 a few weeks ago, would you not ask them what they've done with the money?

I've never heard anything so rediculous , even our fans aren't daft enough for this. Tbf if we hadn't blown such ludicrous sums of money on poor / not needed players we wouldn't be in this mess.

Only Wednesday buy players who don't come off and that's a fact.

What was the 'aggresive' response?

Unless I've missed it I've not seen mention of this incident.

We've usually had 3 centre halves + Hutchinson (& Pudil if reqd.)

I would say that's been sufficient so far. It's gone titsup because Sasso didn't want to return, we've tried and failed to get someone in and then we have a couple of injuries.

It wasn't that urgent before the injuries because the transfer deadline is a couple of weeks away.

Haven't they been priced out for the last 2 years? Or are they only priced out when it suits?

And yes, it's up to them how they spend their hard earned.

They're priced out when it suits. By definition. But with the feelgood factor slowly diminishing the gates are naturally going to go the same way. I can't see you can argue otherwise or even, by implication, blame the fans for not going in the numbers they used to. We are an exceptionally loyal fanbase but we can only be pushed so far. Saturdays attendance bears this out
