Dezzyboy
So as the title, would you take him if we could muster a cheeky little bid to sign him until the end of the season. Personally I think he could offer us something in those drab games where we need a killer pass or someone to pop up with a goal. This is going to be fun reading. ChinaOwl
He must be about 60 or 70 by now. He was around in the 1970's with Brooking & Co.
S63 Owl
Let's offer these cheeky little bids out to Scholes, Beckham and Giggs whilst we're at it. Depending on how cheeky we are feeling maybe Gerrard too.....
pazowl55
Already said he has had offers from several premier league clubs.
Bluey9
And probably about 500k a week from China, why would he want to come to us for 40k a week
Dezzyboy
That's what I've read so the premiership teams think he's got something left but he's said he doesn't want to be involved in relegation battles so what about a promotion push? Lord Snooty
I'll be honest, of course I think he'd add something. Even at his age. He has always been tremendously fit. He'D give us someone to get in and support the front players. A goals record from midfield which in the modern era is absolutely phenomenal Of course. His best career spell was in that 4-3-3.......so...... However. Having turned down 5 Premier League clubs offering deals I think it would be highly unlikely. In fact. I am struggling to believe I am on this thread. Much less taking part in it. Damn you non-match Saturday, DAMN YOU! Tamworthowl
Many teams on the borderline of promotion / play offs have brought in an older experienced midfielder or defender to help push them over the line. Lampard would be a good signing if he took sensible wages and if he was happy to slum it up North and in the Championship. There are probably more realistic alternatives. Guest domSWFC
If we can get someone like Ramires with that sort of work rate next to Pirlo, I think he'd boss this league. Maybe cheeky punt for Kaka and Ronaldiniho.
