The cup is irrelevant these days, and clubs won't make a decision based on their availability for the later rounds. As for these 3 year STs will supporters pay the whole lot up front or is it an annual payment? I think making use of money three years in advance is a bit risky. But if they got far in the competition and wanted to play him it could be a small pain. Do think it's a strong signal they don't want to sell tho in a strange way.
