But that whole team that we began to assemble over a couple of years from 89 onwards were all heroes for me and it's a struggle to pick out one. Actually, I struggled initially to pick faults with any of them, but I suppose it's like that when you're a kid. Thought myself quite sophisticated when I started to come away from games grumbling about Bright being not up to it. lesbarbeux Posted December 15, 2014 Share Posted December 15, 2014 Too young (don't say that often these days!) to have seen Derek Dooley...but he was absolutely idolised by many......first childhood idol has to be Bronco for me, like David Hirst on steroids... had the lot, pace and power by the shed load, terrific header of the ball and was always likely to burst a net with either foot...could mix it with the best of 'em too.
