Like a few other players; Lee, Maguire, Nuhiu (end of last season) he's proving that if you give him a chance, he does have quality. Too many players were written off under Jones after a few bad performances and then forced to sit on the sidelines, even when we had injuries. Owl999 Posted August 16, 2014 Share Posted August 16, 2014 Always liked Mattock, too many on here were too busy with the Reda spunk fest to recognise the footballing talent the lad has, no'1 left back at the club and should have been for a while, just like to say Buxton will have trouble getting back in the side while ever Palmer plays the way he's playing, absolutely quality again today. He knows if he goes forward Coke or Hutch will be able to cover. Confidence is a massive thing for a full back. Mattock & Maghoma partnership come on a lot from last season. Mattock played very well apart from a silly yellow card He's a smart player, good at getting down the line and puts in good challenges.
