ramone
As i said before if this was a Reda or Kirkland nothing would be said and easily would be welcome back into the club with open arms but because it's Madine it's a different story. Using the "he didn't do anything under Dave Jones" just doesn't wash, well what did Maguire, Lee, Palmer, Mattock, Semedo do under Dave Jones? They have all proved with a regular run in the team they have are good players and have become valued members of the squad. He's got a chance now to show what he can do and it's up to him and i hope he takes it. Its a different story because he's done it countless times. Wake up and smell the coffee. On a different note: Lee got a run of games under Jones when he was fit. Only from him being injured this was unable to play. Palmer was sent on loan by Jones which assisted his development and he was first played at right back by Jones Maguire is mystery, should have had the chance Semedo started the season under Jones and its been widely accepted that he struggled Mattock, see Maguire
Tamworthowl
Putting his crime to one side, the lads just not good enough at this level. I'd get shut just for that reason. I sympathise with the view that we should get rid if he isn't good enough. But that decision should have been made when he was found guilty (or decided against an appeal). To decide now seems a bit odd. We are lacking up front. Surely keeping him until the end of the season won't cost much and is worth the gamble that he might actually do well under SG. Guest IN MILAN WE RUST
Do you think YOU directly are paying Gary's wages? Don't flatter yourself. Let me ask you a question - what is the point in a criminal justice system existing in the UK if, when an offender has done his time, he continues to be persecuted by the outside world for something he has already been punished for? Why not just dump it? It hardly seems fair does it? No matter what crime you do, people will continue to label you once you've served your punishment. Gary deserves a second chance. You can bang on about these 'three GBHs' or whatever, but the fact is - Gary has served his punishment, and now should be a free man. Its also easy for you to say that you 'aren't a thug' - but let's face it, you aren't rich and you aren't famous. You aren't in a profession where you can't go out anywhere without people recognising you. You can't socialise without getting some moron insulting you and winding you up. And are you telling me you haven't lost your temper when you've had a bit to drink? If that's the case - my word, you are one brilliant, spotless person. We should all look up to you and respect you. Im surprised your not blaming the 3 lads for headbutting your darling madines hand! proper blinkered fella

Guest Big Guns
loads of numpties who made mistakes and went to prison came out and rehabilitated themselves for their own good and the countries , if it was left to some on here half of blooming Britain would be locked up and the key chucked away , the kid has paid his price to society , Now is the time for him to stand up to be counted we don't decide what happens next the club do ,but I bet my bottom dollar if it were kids of the righteous on here that were being released a different story would be told, Unless you are a complete idiot and re offend time after time after being locked up then fair do's it's a lost cause , on the other hand if an olive branch is offered to some rehabilitation works he should have a chance to put his life back on track if he messes it up then he only has himself to blame and we get rid if not then it will be for the better , So if the club are happy to back him as sure as eggs are eggs I will , Nailed it again Trev

royalowlisback
What's your opinion of Mattock...who hit woman in a night club? Just the same if he was convicted. Don't know too much about the incident, assuming it happened before he joined us? Does he have previous, or is it an 'isolated' incident?
marconi
Aggressive off the pitch, not so aggressive on it. Can't see how a player who is not good enough at Championship level, can train with The Rhino's and come back a better player. Doesn't deserve to be picked ahead of Lavery, or for that matter the lump that is Nuhiu, Free up a wage and get rid.
SHUowl
What's your opinion of Mattock...who hit woman in a night club? I've mentioned this but it got swept under the rug because............. well because.........errm............ oh yeah because........... nope no idea. Does it make a difference that he's a first teamer? Or is it more important to focus on the prison bit rather than the crime bit?

Does he have previous, or is it an 'isolated' incident? So if you get away with it, it isn't a crime? Btw this isn't an attack on Mattock (see earlier posts) but I'm just fed up with the hypocrisy and inconsistency in this thread.
