Madine Out - Confirmed

Wrong place wrong time, on 3 separate occasions?

In October 2013 he was charged, and convicted with ABH and GBH for 2 completely separate attacks, that suggests he didn't get away with second offence, and because you didn't know him on the other occasion - it somehow makes it alright?

Never said that.. Just that I'm not going to comment because I don't know what happened

I've seen plenty of people get chinned on nights out, they just don't feel the need to report each other because they both know they've been massive b*ll*nds

Someone chucked a drink at him... So he hit him

The second one then denied it was Madine who hit him when it came to court

And the third one I'm not sure about

Found guilty 3 times.

I know the family of one of the victims who was the victim of an unprovoked assault. The jury agreed with this version.

Notwithstanding that I think it's right to move on, we shouldn't downplay his actions.

A lot of people on here would soon forgive Madine if he smashed a last minute winner in against the pigs.

He's done his time and I'd not be bothered either way if he came back or not

Personally I don't think he's a very good striker but would love him to prove me wrong.

Its just another example of what a different world it is for the modern footballer.

If i got done for GBH and did a 5 month stretch would my current role be there when i got out? Nope

Would i ever have the chance to get a similar role with another company? No chance

I wouldn't forgive him, he shouldn't be on the pitch.

I support the club, not an undeserving thug.

I nearly fell off my chair then. JonTheOwl66 accusing others of attention seeking? :ghoulguy:

Congratulations - you deserve an award for such a witty, unique response.

Stop being such a drama queen. Madine has got into a few fights. Who hasn't?

If the management team feel he's worth keeping on - it says a lot more than what you keep banging on about.

'I pay my money to support my team, not to pay wages for a thug'

What drivel. Utter drivel.

It depends how valuable you were as an asset to the company and how easily you could be replaced by someone who could do the job just as well. If you were making your company bucket loads of money, there's a strong chance you would get your job back.

Football isn't a different world. It works on basic supply and demand like everything else. There is simply a lot higher demand than supply of good players.

Why is not wanting Madine to have my money drivel?

Football in general is a different world. What other occupations would regularly see employers having to pay vast sums to former employers to secure the services of an employee..... in addition to paying what are mind boggling wages.

There is a difference between 'getting into a few fights' and drunkenly attacking people for apparently no reason.

I think Dagmeister's got the right of it. We shouldn't condemn him but that doesn't mean we should act as if what he did is fine. He was convicted and sent to prison, so let's not pretend that he is innocent and anyone who has a problem with him is being drama a drama queen.

Honestly, I think arguing over whether he should or shouldn't be allowed back is kinda pointless. If you think he is or isn't good enough, or you think this will or won't affect how he is in future then ok, but that's not what a lot of this seems to be.

Everyone has their own moral standard, and some random off the internet telling you otherwise ain't gonna change what you believe. If you accept him back, fine, you don't, fine, but stop baiting people who think the opposite.

loads of numpties who made mistakes and went to prison came out and rehabilitated themselves for their own good and the countries , if it was left to some on here half of blooming Britain would be locked up and the key chucked away , the kid has paid his price to society , Now is the time for him to stand up to be counted we don't decide what happens next the club do ,but I bet my bottom dollar if it were kids of the righteous on here that were being released a different story would be told,

Unless you are a complete idiot and re offend time after time after being locked up then fair do's it's a lost cause ,

on the other hand if an olive branch is offered to some rehabilitation works he should have a chance to put his life back on track

if he messes it up then he only has himself to blame and we get rid if not then it will be for the better ,

So if the club are happy to back him as sure as eggs are eggs I will ,

A lot has been said about Madine having to change his attitude if he is to stay and progress at SWFC. Am I the only one who think going straight onto Twitter on first day out is a bad sign?

Ok, so he has just said thanks for the support and sorry for letting people down. If that is his last tweet, fine. If he starts reacting to trolls, I think he will have ongoing problems.

Do you think YOU directly are paying Gary's wages? Don't flatter yourself.

Let me ask you a question - what is the point in a criminal justice system existing in the UK if, when an offender has done his time, he continues to be persecuted by the outside world for something he has already been punished for?

Why not just dump it? It hardly seems fair does it? No matter what crime you do, people will continue to label you once you've served your punishment.

Gary deserves a second chance. You can bang on about these 'three GBHs' or whatever, but the fact is - Gary has served his punishment, and now should be a free man.

Its also easy for you to say that you 'aren't a thug' - but let's face it, you aren't rich and you aren't famous. You aren't in a profession where you can't go out anywhere without people recognising you. You can't socialise without getting some moron insulting you and winding you up.

And are you telling me you haven't lost your temper when you've had a bit to drink?

If that's the case - my word, you are one brilliant, spotless person. We should all look up to you and respect you.

Understand what your saying, and I agree about folk not changing their mind - but it is a forum to discuss issues relating to all things SWFC - it wouldn't exist if we didn't have different opinions, and express those opinions accordingly.
