ramone
I've not got into a few fights, because I'm not a thug. Why is not wanting Madine to have my money drivel? It isn't mate - its your right as a paying customer. It seems like getting in to fights is seen as being clever and something everyone 'has to have done'. Tamworthowl
I think those who expect Madine to start firing in the goals will be bitterly disappointed. I expect him to be in the development squad. When he has built up his fitness he will get a game or two for the development team. If he does well AND if he has shown signs of reform, he will start training with the first team and may make the bench. I don't expect to see him even make the bench until April. ramone
Do you think YOU directly are paying Gary's wages? Don't flatter yourself. Let me ask you a question - what is the point in a criminal justice system existing in the UK if, when an offender has done his time, he continues to be persecuted by the outside world for something he has already been punished for? Why not just dump it? It hardly seems fair does it? No matter what crime you do, people will continue to label you once you've served your punishment. Gary deserves a second chance. You can bang on about these 'three GBHs' or whatever, but the fact is - Gary has served his punishment, and now should be a free man. Its also easy for you to say that you 'aren't a thug' - but let's face it, you aren't rich and you aren't famous. You aren't in a profession where you can't go out anywhere without people recognising you. You can't socialise without getting some moron insulting you and winding you up. And are you telling me you haven't lost your temper when you've had a bit to drink? If that's the case - my word, you are one brilliant, spotless person. We should all look up to you and respect you. And why do people go out of their way to wind him up.....??? Because they know they'll get a reaction. I never heard of Des Walker going out in town and smacking people. I never heard of Nigel Pearson going out in town and smacking people. I never heard of Michail Antonio going out in town and smacking people. Madines an idiot and brings it on himself

Corneliusreeve
So ex-druggies and ex-alcoholics make great role models? I'd better start shooting up then. . Edited February 20, 2014 by Corneliusreeve
Dagmeister
A lot has been said about Madine having to change his attitude if he is to stay and progress at SWFC. Am I the only one who think going straight onto Twitter on first day out is a bad sign? Ok, so he has just said thanks for the support and sorry for letting people down. If that is his last tweet, fine. If he starts reacting to trolls, I think he will have ongoing problems. I think you make a very valid point about the pitfalls associated with Twitter and other social networks. If the club keep him on I'd hope that some sensible guidelines are agreed and that Madine is capable of following them.

Corneliusreeve
Couldn't care less who he's smacked, just don't think he's a good footballer at championship level. What did you think of Maguire before he got a run in the side under Gray?

Yes, I am paying directly to Madine's wages, my season ticket year in, year out contributes to his wages. No I have not lost my temper and committed 3 separate assaults when I have had a drink. And do you know why, because I am a bigger man than Madine. I control my temper, conduct myself in a proper manner and as a result, I don't go to prison. I don't give a flying you know what if Madine will be labelled this that or the other - he deserves it. He doesn't deserve a second chance, he's a serial offender who has already had 3 chances. Life is hard enough without thugs going around assaulting people, and then thinking it is them who are hard done to when they come out (13 months early). Guest Sheff Owl
As i said before if this was a Reda or Kirkland nothing would be said and easily would be welcome back into the club with open arms but because it's Madine it's a different story. Using the "he didn't do anything under Dave Jones" just doesn't wash, well what did Maguire, Lee, Palmer, Mattock, Semedo do under Dave Jones? They have all proved with a regular run in the team they have are good players and have become valued members of the squad. He's got a chance now to show what he can do and it's up to him and i hope he takes it.

Guest
What did you think of Maguire before he got a run in the side under Gray?didnt see him as much as madine, seen enough of madine to realise he ain't a championship player, too weak, gets bullied, always on his arse, I don't like him as a footballer, don't know him to slate him personally

It is the actions I disagree with, not the person.
