Well I think the article was well written by the Yorkshire Post, it doesn't take sides in my opinion. I thought what Bates said made sense.

Why mention those songs at Paddy Kenny and Warnock? This 'banter' has been going on for years and is totally a different tone to some of put fans chanting about istanbul. It seems it was only included in the article to make it a balanced report and both sides look as bad as each other, well call me or any Wednesday fan who was their on Friday biased but I don't see how we are as bad as them.

All these articles are doing a great job at evening up the blame. Justify the actions of the scum element and nothing will change. He's crapping himself that his club will be punished and he will lose money. That is the crux of it. He doesn't give a throw about fans or anyone's feelings. This is the man who wanted electric fences put in place remember.

Also neglects to mention that fans of his own club were singing negative songs about him. Convenient that.
