Sheffield Wednesday 3 - 1 Chesterfield

Recommended Posts

September 2nd 1899 we beat Chesterfield 5-1 in our first ever Hillsborough match, not only that but we went on to win every single league game that season.

Well Chezzie are here again, I just hope it's significant that thus far we have won every league game. Be great not just to beat Chesterfield but go the whole season at Hillsborough on this winning run !

Whoops fingers crossed.

Don't believe in this 'we only win when it's sunny' malarkey.

In 1990 we got relegated on a gloriously sunny day.

In 1991 we had our greatest day in modern history and it was miserable.

LET'S HAVE 'EM!!!!

Remember being on the old (uncovered!) kop that day, good atmosphere and some terrific goals! Don't know how their right back stayed on the pitch though!

Can remember afterwards looking for a beer house in Crookes and hitching a ride home on a cart. Them were 'days.

Even though I have a season ticket I'm missing this game due to other commitments which I am gutted about. Really hope we can get 3 points in time for the proper derby next Sunday. luckily I am not missing that one. UTO.

same here. Commitment being work. Looking on the brightside, last season I wouldn't have been gutted to miss a game but I am today so that's probably a good thing.

I've got a bad feeling about this one...

aye, me too......funnily enough I'd feel better if Reda was playing.

I always feel a bit cloth touchy before local(ish) derbies.
