(Un)Official ALF Thread - Latest: Gone to reading;

Recommended Posts

I've got a good feeling about it this time. Things could move very quickly from here. It corresponds with the (false IMO) rumors of the Rangers bid. I think Rotherham are putting a few false rumors around to force out hand.

If we've gone in a third time, it's only a matter of time before he's ours. The COG deal proved to me that Milan will do what is needed. Especially if the stories of his head being turned have any truth in them.

Ours before the weekend? Here's hoping.

rovrum need to sell now or decide hes going nowhere til jan - otherwise they will have no time to bring in a replacement (which i still think they would struggle to do).

If hes moving id expect it to be within the next couple of days, giving them a week or so to sort something out.

I've very rarely agreed with anything fat Seth Bennett has to say about football.

I don't understand how someone like ALF, a typical goal scorer, wouldn't fit in anyones side in League 1 or League 2.

Our previous bids for ALF have totalled 200k and 250k not just been a straight offer.

They have been an innitial figure with add ons that have come to 200k and 250k, if it is the same with the 350k it will be turned down. They want 350k up front with add ons to take it to 500k

They probably do.

They aren't in a very good bargaining position though, with the player not only wanting to leave now, but out of contract next summer meaning they can sell him now for 350k, for 50k or 100k in January, or not get a penny for him next summer.

350k is a lot of money for Rotherham (as it is for most League 1 and 2 clubs) so don't underestimate how tempted they'll be to accept it.
