No, I meant in a very literal sense

In that we aren't born with any pre-programmed notions of "good" or "evil"

We can as you say be born into an affluent family, but the individual produced is shaped by their environment

See where you are comming from but is not ones 'environment' largely dictated by our origins?

You can't be racist towards a white person in this country because we're the dominant race, and the race with more power. Just like women can say what they want towards a man and it's not sexist. Because we have more power. But they have Vaginas and that's what's important.

You can be racist towards whites imo, but as you say as the majority it doesnt seem to offend people as much. Its never picked up on.

You only need to go back 50 years and it was the Irish who were picked on as immigrants before African and Asian people began to settle in England and distinctions became more about colour of skin.

I was young, way too drunk and stupid.....I got into an argument and it went too far! It was only a matter of time before one of us over-reacted.

If you could read the court papers, you would find that it was mentioned during the couple of minutes I was in there that I have relatives who are not white.

At no point did I use racial obscenities..........

By the letter of the law I was guilty of common assault, which is basically touching another person without thier permission!!

Just because you watch the history channel it doesn't preclude you from being an ingnorant knobsack.

No one came for anyone, no, gypsies were harmed and no one suffered as a consequence.

That fact is a bit of name calling went on.

I happen to be a fat ugly illegitimate.

You can refer to me as such and I don't give a throw because it is true. This is not discrimination you dim whitted pr**k.

Discrimination is when someone is treated differently because of their race or origin or other variance, something that I suspect happens more to white working class people than any other ethnic group.

If you are going to cry out about such misjustices try choosing anyone deserving of such, a group that genuinely does suffer discrimination such as those born in poor areas who subsequently get no choice but to go to a poor school, spend their entire lives in the same poverty trap as their parents. poo poo school = poo poo education = poo poo job = poo poo and often short life.

People like this genuinely are discriminated against their whole lives, especially if they are morally sound enough to refrain from popping out twelve illegitimate kids in an attempt to get out of said poverty trap. I personally have never met a gypsie who doesn't drive a 4X4 or a BMW so excuse me if I seem somewhat lacking in sympathy. If there genuinely are any travellers/gypsies out there who for whatever reason do live unfortunate lives because of descrimination then I am totally simpathetic.

As far as the name calling is concerned it is at worst trivial and if you can't see this you are as thick as pigshit.

Your wasting your time. The idiot that wrote that poem, Martin Niemöller the prominent German anti-Nazi theologian, is long dead. The flipping idiot.

The holocaust FFS. He wants to try being brought up on the Parsons Cross in a 2 bed Council House with no central heating and having to attend Colley School and then going down the pit at 16.

He'd have something to write poems about then FFS.

I can't have long to live now. I'd better make the most of it.

many other races have been treated very poorly by the white man,

like us,taking boats over to africa, raping there women, enslaving there people

wouldnt you be pissed off about that,

remeber that slavery was only abolished less than 100 years ago

we have been fortunate to not have these problems, thus there isnt much one can say to a white man about race

raqsicm is the lowest of the low

and im really disapointed that so many on here, either this its just"banter",or are sticking up for racists

we are very lucky to libe in one of the most progressive countries,

Although I agree, however the slave trade brought civilization to those regions, and some slave owners were good people, who looked after them.

But, black people didn't get rights in the usa until recently, which is quite disturbing.

lol

Civilization from a western perspective. I'm sure they were pretty happy as they were, Africa still feels the impact of colonialism today.

Nev, Brian Moore wasn't privately educated.

Hi Did n't want to let the truth spoil a good story as they say, but BM went to one of the better schools in W Yorks. The Crossley Heath Grammar which as far as I am aware was fee charging with Scholarships on offer. It would appear that there was little to choose between CH and the plethera of public schools as BM suffered both physical and sexual abuse as a price for his first class education. He went on to study Law at Nottingham Uni which at the time would have been largely paid fr by the state.

However, the point I make is that BM views on footy (anti) have very much been moulded by the company he has kept. Very much a socialist but hates the smell of that vile working class game Footy.

I'm reluctant to say yes or no, evidently statistics dictate the chances of you being born into affluence or poverty based on the socio-economic area you are raised in but not born in, obviously

For someone to say that "Asians are born in a right wealthy home would be inane due to the billions of individuals spread across the planet who describe themselves as Asian but can be born and raised (or separately ) into literally hundreds of different countries and thousands/millions of homes, cities and families

You could for example predict that a child born in the most impoverished parts of London would have a likelihood of developing poor literacy skills and be in trouble with the law on a number of occasions. You can't say that's an absolute because there are a number of exceptions to that rule

Then there's to discuss whether a child born and raised in a travelling community will become ingratiated in a lifetime of thuggish behaviour and tax avoidance. To which, I don't know. I have only anecdotal evidence and sensationalized TV issues on which to base my thoughts. IF that was the case, then again the likelihood is there, but I refuse to base my sentiments and thoughts on a lack of information so when I say something like "All gippos are inbred and filthy" I'd look a bit of a rumbleing idiot

So basically, the notion of our origins dictating our environment I don't feel is absolute

I can't remember you coming on here complaining about:

'Paddy, where's your wife' - against the blunts when Paddy Kenny's missus had run off with his best mate!

'Mick MacCarthy......what a tugger' - every time he dares to come to Hillsborough.

'Die die piggy piggy die!' - any time a player who has any association with the blunts is playing.

The song that starts 'When I was young I had no sense'.......

Calling Neil Warnock Colin!

'We've got Carlton Palmer, he smokes marajuana' - an all time classic!

To be fair 'get a haircut' doesn't lend itself to a chant!

Sorry Nev. It wasn't/isn't fee paying. It was a 'state' grammar school. Moore was born in 1962.

There were two sections - the Crossley and Porter Boys' School, with around 300 boys, and the Crossley and Porter Girls' School, with around 450 girls, administered by the County Borough of Halifax. In 1967, it became the co-educational Crossley and Porter School with around 800 girls and boys.

I moved at half time yesterday cos some tail behind me on row 7 (just behind the right hand side of our net) was calling Cameron Jerome a 'Black Ba$tard' every time he came near us. There was a couple of them at it and i think they said it to THE RADIATOR too when he made a mistake.

Dont know who the hell the jumped up d1cks think they are - but i dont wanna hear that poo in my ear all the way through the game - and i felt right sorry for the players they were shouting it all to.

I bet they'd poo their pants if one of the black players turned round and said something back to them.

I think its disgusting.

Nob heads.

Reading owl, how can you compare something as terrible as the hollocaust with a bit of name calling.

You are doing a genuine dis-service to those people who do suffer at the hands of discrimination....

I suspect from my own reaction that your views come accross as being so tiresome that when genuine discrimination does take place people are so bored with it being brought up that they don't pay attention.

One of our more educated posters. The voice of reason.

Obviously wasn't brought up in 'poverty' on the Cross like me. Doesn't make ridiculous assumptions either.

Is there any hope for me?
