alanharper
It means that somebody didn't have the balls to drop Purse. Despite the evidence.
RichSheffWeds
Seems Beevers days at Hillsborough are coming to an end. Probably good for the player to move on. TBF he's been sh!te for months. Wont get a look in with Johnson, Reynolds, Morrison etc at the club.

Guest Romish Owl
Its cos his game is limited, good at recovery defending, just cuts to the left and hoofs it down field, very seldom a short ball, and his biggest fault, lacks Heart and belief. Will probably move on and get a better tutor than we have at S6 to improve his game.
jonnyowl
Because he didn't play last week and we won 3-0! So why change a winning side that won convincingly last week!
alanharper
Because he is as sh*t as purse Ironically he was pretty decent until he had to play alongside Purse every week. It must be terrifying for the lad though and no good for his confidence, not knowing what clanger his skipper's going to drop next.
robster_owl
Because he is as sh*t as purse Maybe yet another player on a long list of ex owls players who go on to a new club and excel, well more than they did here anyway?

And if he does, good luck to the lad. A move would be good for all concerned. We need to concentrate on the future of our club - and at centre half that's players like Johnson, Reynolds, Morrison, etc.
KivoOwl
He'll play in the Premier League one day. If we do sell, hope we negotiate a BIG sell on clause
oldishowl
I have nothing against Beevers but he lacks both physical and mental strength. He is also suffering from playing too many of his formative years in a struggling side. He will go nowhere. Will be part of the squad and will be a better player after a rest.. The only concern is that with Reynolds we will have 3 young talented left footed centre backs.

We cant always blame purse for beevers poor performances,Beevers is a professional footballer and he should take on his own responsabilities, and if he would have done this then purse would have shown up how bad of a player he is, Just look at last week and today THE RADIATOR just got on with what he is paid for,and purse looked the player he is! sh*t

Not sure what it's down to tbh, but can't see him being a Prem player.

RUMBELOWS91
Mark Beevers... Exceptional 18 year old Very Promising 19 year old Above average 20 year old Average 21 year old. No great loss- 500k for Beevers + whatever we got for Tudgay pays the fees for Morrison, Johnson and Reynolds. Probably frees up the wages for all 3 too. 4 in (all a good age) and 2 out that have lost their way and Milan's probably parted with £200k tops. The squad is being reshaped and hopefully there's still the cash there for 1 or 2 attacking signings to get us a bit excited. Alas, I think the automatic promotion boat has sailed but hopefully we can hit the play offs as a form team. A gutsy cup quarter final defeat at Old Trafford ending with a chant of "we'll be back for the play-offs" is my prediction (thats if its there of course)

No last season it was Wood's fault, oh and Laws' fault, now it's either Irvine's or Purse's fault.
DJMortimer
Maybe yet another player on a long list of ex owls players who go on to a new club and excel, well more than they did here anyway? Is it really that long a list (apart from the likes of Brunt and Bougherra for whom we were wll compensated and left without a choice anyway)? I can think of WAY more that left and failed in the last decade or so.
