Notts County away

Recommended Posts

Last time I was at Notts County was in 1974.

Ron Spingett was in goal and Brian Joicey scored two crackers

We won 5-1 and the Owls fans nearly brought the wooden stand down.

There was much rejoicing that day.

Sat 9 Mar Notts County............ 5-1

Att 9,378

Brian Joicey 2, Mick Prendergast 2, Eric Potts

Has it changed much? mellow.gif

Think you'll find it was PETER Springett in goal. He was swapped with his brother in 1967. I never saw Ron play for us (I was born 1963) or if I did I don't remember.

This was about the time I started watching Wednesday regularly.

My dad used to take me when he was on leave (Navy) before that, but I think this was the first season I was allowed to go to the match alone.

WE'VE GOT WILLIE WILLIE WILLIE WILLIE HENDERSON ON THE WING, ON THE WING.

WHEN MICHAEL PRENDERGAST SCORES A GOAL, HURRAH, HURRAH.

WHEN MICHAEL PRENDERGAST SCORES A GOAL, HURRAH, HURRAH.

WHEN MICHAEL PRENDERGAST SCORES A GOAL, YOU CAN SHOVE ******* UP YOUR A***E

AND WE ALL GO MARCHING WHEN PRENDERGAST SCORES A GOAL!!

Some soft idiot in an office said it isnt safe for 5000!

From the info I got off Notts County Mad site, its something to do with last season, and quoted "We are still waiting for 6,000 Rotherham fans top leave from our fixture with them last season"

But rumour is that they have put an application in to put it up to 5,000......
