Jackie Sewell
For the majority who never saw him play, and hear us rave about him, that was something like Ron played week in week out.
York_Owl
My dad said the same thing. Best shot stopper he's seen since springett.

Tamworthowl
Springer had a better defence in front of him.
Musn't Grumble
Mentioned it today at the match.... Westwood is the best 'keeper we've had since Ron Springett. First 'keeper we've had for decades who attempts to boss the six-yard box, stops shots and isn't frightened of crosses (unlike "Dracula" Pressman, of course). Cambs Owl
Some of those saves today reminded me so much of Ron Springett especially the save from that header in the second half. Tremendous.

vulva
The best keeper we have had in the last 40 years wasn't even ours. Scott Carson. Westwood is running him very close. As for Pressman, I always thought Martin Hodge was a better keeper.
Lee A
Best keeper I have ever seen in our strip, Westwood is better than pressman Im a huge fan of Pressman, but that might be true Unbelievable stuff from Westwood again today, strange thing is he's a lot better than what Sunderland currently have, surprised they let him go. scram
For me Pressy has to be the most underrated player to play for us He was immense in his prime - and in the top flight Best keeper I have seen play for us and not too many better in England generally in his day
killaowl
liked pressman but not fit to lace westwoods boots would have never got down to the one westwood tipped round the post and was poor on long range shots well down my list, Turner was better along with hodge
Lee A
Did love Pressman, one of my favourite ever Wednesday players Surprisingly agile for a big lump, could kick the length of the field, bossed his back 4 and just as Westwood does now, bailed us out of games we should have been hammered in more times than you can count Great player Edited October 25, 2014 by Lee A
coopswfc76
Westwood is possibly best keeper i've seen in a Wednesday shirt & i'm 38.
FlyingOwl
Definitely the best keeper I've seen at Wednesday. And I've seen Grant, Pressman & Carson.
torryowl
liked pressman but not fit to lace westwoods boots would have never got down to the one westwood tipped round the post and was poor on long range shots well down my list, Turner was better along with hodgewe all have opinions and i could say pressy wouldnt have let that one in against watford last week ......westwood as been brilliant for us no doubt about that but to say that about pressman when he´s played over 500 games for us, a lot at a higher level than westwood as played at is a brave /daft statement .
