The maths - stay positive!

The fact Huddersfield and Birmingham have to play each other is a bad thing in my eyes when we need to finish above them both.

It’s almost looking like we need at least 7 points to survive, possibly 9 given our goal difference.

Couldn't have had a much better game at this stage than Stoke at home, but good luck with the mindless optimism!

So we should all give up and just accept relegation then with three games left to play?

If that's your outlook then why are you posting in a thread about it?

I saw a table the other day showing we were midtable in for over about the last 20 or so games, We beat QPR away, came back from 2-0 to Norwich and were leading today, if that goal hadn't been conceded attitudes would be totally different imo

Fair points but what is done is done. We have 3 games to save our Championship status. Our current form as a team and as individuals is poor. We can’t find a winning formula when we need it most.

"If we win 2 of our last 3"

No problem, after winning 1 of our last 7.

Exactly.  Once you get to the stage where you have to hope we play differently to the previous 40+ games, it’s over. Same as the back end of last year.

I’d agree.

Apart from under Röhl we’ve won 12 matches and not played like a bottom half team.

Id say if we replicate performances like we’ve already seen - we’ll have a good chance of winning two.

Im not expecting us to suddenly play better, just maintain the levels we’ve consistently seen. And maybe, get the run of the green for once - you never know, we might even get a penalty!

If we beat Blackburn, I’m still saying they have a major problem.

Likewise Stoke if they don’t beat Plymouth.

Which leaves us still needing 7 from 9?

Cant see us catching those 2, or QPR. Not with 3 games left.

If we had gone onto 46 points maybe.

On present form it is unrealistic to suppose that Wednesday will get more than 2 points from their remaining matches. How is a club which can't beat lowly Stoke at home, supposed to beat Blackburn away? Only getting real.

Surely after the results of the last few weeks you can see that football isn’t so linear!!!!!

Always thought it would go the last few seconds of a added on time of the last game of the season in Sky Sports drama time.

Got the gut feeling we'll stay up in a set of extraordinary last seconds of the season.
