Another Danny Röhl thread

Recommended Posts

Look everyone, my post was deliberately provocative, but don’t you think now is the time to forget this Chansiri bashing for a bit and unite as a fan base, turns out our best 3 players currently (definitely 2 before people start splitting hairs) we’re all signed in January, our accounts are out on time and show yet another improvement and we have a young manager of serious quality, all this started tamping up mainly in 2019, it’s now 2024 and things are looking up….just need to stay up…

Just pointing out that the worst things to happen to our club this season have come from the fans, the op snuck in a snide comment about Chansiri while praising Röhl, but forgot to mention the times that our club has been dragged into the gutter for real this season…

Snide, Chansiri has been nothing but an absolute disaster for our club yet still some can't get enough of his testicles it's unbelievable.

Numerous posts deleted.

This thread has almost been derailed. Let’s get it back on track.

General advice to all. Attempts to intimidate other members through violence - or suggestions you’ll track them down in real life - are absolutely unacceptable.

I move a lot of concrete on the QVC.

Sorry mate, but posts like that deserve all they get.

Personally I disagree. I don’t understand the personal attack culture that has become the norm on here. I TOTALLY agree with your opinion but I believe that the post should be criticized not the person.

Look,, I disagree with him massively, but he's still entitled to his post. He might be wrong factually, particularly with regards the Sunderland comment. That occurred before Röhl was manager.

I do not believe in censorship and confirmation bias on sites such as this.

Simply call out when people are wrong and move on debating actual topics

Thank you. Absolutely spot on!

Blame the internet. Refuge for people to say what they please, knowing they won't get a slap

All clubs have a small degree of the idiot fan, it doesn’t mean you should tarnish the majority because of it.

Our fans are the heart beat of this club and always will be.

After decades of being treated like silent walking cash machines, we still turn up in big numbers up and down the country.

yet you single out a handful to fit you’re own agenda.

It has occurred to me that because Danny is so young he doesn't need be in a rush to grab the first top tier job he gets offered.

I expect he'll manage us next season come what may, and he'll only build on his already growing reputation.

Let’s hope so!

My post was about Danny Röhl and not intended to be a Chansiri bashing post at all. However, I think it’s pretty reasonable by most people’s standards to say, even during Röhl’s tenure, DC’s running of the club has been chaotic. The threat of an unpaid tax bill and asking fans to contribute to the bill was just days into Röhl’s time at the club.

Apologies if this has been covered in other threads, but Danny Röhl is only 34. He’s getting results, handling the pressure of a relegation scrap at a big club with expectations and dealing with a chaotic owner. At 34. We’d be impressed if a seasoned manager or survival specialist like Warnock was doing this well. Long may it continue. Really impressive.

Didn't seem to be handling the pressure at all well a few weeks ago. Hopefully he's learning how to manage the pressure as previous managers have had to do

Didn't want to make yet another thread so the title of this one seemed appropriate 😁

This probably deserves it's own thread as it raises a new discussion.

Realistically, if McKenna is poached, the move would make sense for both Ipswich and Röhl.

Ipswich are a team on the up, challenging for automatic promotion to the PL after just being promoted from League 1. They seem a well run outfit and the owners clearly back the manager with signings as is evident over the last few transfer windows.

Working with Chansiri seems difficult at best and impossible at worst. No one could blame Röhl for taking an offer from Ipswich.

I believe Röhl will leave whether we stay up or not, and we will be left wondering about what Wednesday could have achieved, if only we had a competent chairman.

Our fan base is more or less united. We are all behind the manager and players and when we criticise them it does not mean we do not support them.  While I understand where you are coming from re ownership but there is no cause to forget what have been appalling top management decisions for years and withdraw the request to put the club up for sale. . In January, we got three players out and only got three players in when we needed more,  and the look on DR's face spoke volumes. Even the EFL say re Reading ,  if you cannot sustain the team and club, and want to practice austerity , please sell to someone who can.

Always a good sign when our manager is talked about as potential successors at other clubs. Means we have a manager who knows what he's doing and is respected in football. We don't get those very often!

For what it's worth, I think Ipswich will settle down the league next season if they don't go up. They've come as a bit of a surprise to most in this league and done very well. Expectations will be high next season and everyone will be aware of their capabilities - be a totally different situation to what they have now.

If we stay up and Ipswich stay down, and if Röhl gets to rebuild the squad to suit his style, I wouldn't be at all shocked to see us on par/above Ipswich.
