Absolutely, I’m personally a fan of international football but I agree friendlies were always a bit pointless. It is a great achievement, last night’s result was too with a patchwork team, and like you say it puts us in a stronger position for then next qualifying campaign. Into the second seed pot meaning we will avoid some bigger guns and it gives us a guaranteed playoff if we don’t qualify through the groups. Some nice goals in his last two games, granted against basically part time nations but suppose that's why Ronaldo has scored so many goals at international level.
