This is not a football post - it's a post for/about our great community here on Owlstalk

Before I start this is NOT a political thread and most definitely NOT a place for those who believe Covid is a hoax to bore us with their conspiracy theories - any posts other than jobs will be removed without warning/explanation so don't do it.

With this horrendous Covid situation many have faced losing their jobs and some are at risk

So with that in mind can people please post any job vacancies they see/hear of in this thread please

We are a huge community - Let's try and help others out and help others find and secure jobs/work

Anything will do from delivery jobs, to picking jobs in Amazon warehouses, to gardening jobs to delivery driver for takeaways - ANYTHING

Let's just get them in here and get them seen by our community

Please don't post anything else, comment on the jobs being offered etc - there's a time and place for that and it's not here

Fantastic idea and thanks for sharing. Like many I was in the unfortunate position of being made redundant in August but I’ve been lucky to be given a new opportunity elsewhere. 
 

Funnily enough there is also a position that will be opening at the civil service (DEFRA) for which I will be helping to recruit. It will be for a data analyst position.

 

I don’t believe the vacancy has gone live yet, but once i find out a bit more about the position I will be more than happy to share some details on here.

Morning all

 

I have two posts available, they were up to last week for immediate start, now I will not be able to set anyone on until we are back to work

 

but if you know someone who is ok for the time being, but is ready for a fresh start at the end of February let me know

 

1 Finance assistant, admin based to help customers who apply for motor finance via our website, progress chasing, keeping customers informed, helping locate cars within our dealer base etc.

2, telephone sales person, its not cold calling, its ringing existing customers who's warranty or gap is about to expire and offering monthly extensions.

 

Note both posts will require successful applicants to undergo SAF and compliance training, the KPI is customer satisfaction not necessarily sales targets

 

Both posts are based in our Killamarsh Office, both Monday to Friday, split shifts 9.00am to 5.00pm or 11.00am to 7.00pm

 

  £17k basic realistic OTE £24,000

For those who don’t use ‘Linked in’, this is also a very good way of searching for vacancies. 
 

You will have to create a profile listing your skills and experience. Important to also add your phone number because plenty of recruiters go on the site to look for people with certain skill sets relevant to a position they are trying to fill.

There’s a job going at spencers estate agents for a sales negotiatior (it’s lee bullens wife that runs it) - my mum also works there. 

 

Can’t find a direct link to the vacancy I think you just send an email or ring up.

For example, SHSC are currently looking for an IT support person, a gardener and a recovery worker.

The recovery worker role might be of interest to some on here who have acknowledged their own mental health problems. These recovery worker jobs are assessed at interview on values rather than experience.
