Its just that he’s the only striker we’ve got, and it actually sort of works when he plays. In the same way that it actually REALLY doesn’t work when he doesn’t.

 

If you look at the two games he’s started, and the few he played last year, we did meh.

 

If you look at the games he hasn’t started, and the games he missed late last year, we stank.

The only player to show any attacking intent and actually string a couple of passes together was Reach.

 

Didn't do much but did more in 15 minutes than anybody else did in the whole game.

Last time Rotherham beat us at home in the league 1975/76 season .....45 years ago ......2020/21 season they thrash us 3-0 back then we were awful but there was always a bit of hope , now there's no fight , no leadership , nothing !

I'm quite specific about my man of the match ratings. Ever since I was a lad, I would pour over the 'out of 10 ratings' in the papers, agreeing and disagreeing, wondering how Waddle could ever get below a 9 beyond the idiot journalist not being at the game, and just throwing in a few random scores based on the result. 

 

It's important to me.

 

It drives me mad when posters give ill conceived scores out of 10. Like when Fox had a decent game at left back, and he was clearly a 7 or 7.5, and people gave him 3. Or Jack Hunt getting a 5 due to one poor cross, when he was clearly a 6 or possibly a 7. Sometimes he was an 8. 

 

Having said that, I'm scoring them a solid 1 across the board tonight. The underperforming nobbers.

We did ok for 20 minutes after they scored. The rest of the game was a total embarrassment.

 

Dawson 1 never been a professional keeper. He’s pathetically bad. I would beg Westwood to come back if I was Monk!

Odubajo 3 total crap. An absolute calamity of a player but one of the few who didn’t give up

Flint 5 how we missed him when he went off

Lees 2 back to last seasons garbage. Poor for first goal and a stupid foul for the penalty 

Borner 3 he’s crap. Pathetic challenge for the first goal. Did still try though

Harris 3 so wasteful in front of goal. Felt sorry for him at left full back

Pelupessy 3 any surprise we’ve gone crap since he started playing again?

Bannan 3 awful. Gave the ball away continuously 

Dele-Bashiru 3 we’ve been done by City. Has talent but zero application 

Marriott 1 he’s crap. That finish was bobbar. Derby should be laughing their heads off

Paterson 2 get him at centre half. Nuhiu is miles better!

Said it before, we should have accepted relegation. All we are doing is delaying the inevitable and we’ll be in a much worse situation next season

Nothing to take away from the game at all. 

 

Started playing a bit when we were 3-0 down, but then it didn't matter and we had no opposition.

 

Granted a manager cannot take the blame every week for individual mistakes, but we are without doubt getting worse with each game at the moment. Manager's job to address that and if he can't, then bring someone in that can.

 

WE HAVE NO LEADERS ON THE PITCH. 

 

Same issue as the last 3 seasons, only ends one way.

Now Glenn Loovens was a leader. Was confident, communicated with his keeper and fellow defenders and kept a tight back line.

Tom Lees always played better with Glenn at his side. Remember all those clean sheets ?

Bannan - 5 tries by surrounded by a sea of absolute poo

FDB - 3 until the last 15 mins, looked completely lost

Marriot - 3 who the chuff is this guy and why is he here?

Paterson - 5 worked hard and rightly pissed with Monk when he was subbed
