poite
I'd never take anything away from our fantastic away support. They re incredible But for atmosphere these days Hillsborough is as bad as any you're likely to see

They re incredible But for atmosphere these days Hillsborough is as bad as any you're likely to see Yeah the current atmosphere aint great by any standards, but please spare us from a Palace like invented 'atmosphere'. The constant drone of generic 'la la la', 'do do do' 'uh uh uh' repeat 50 times isn't atmosphere, it's just generic constant noise. Not governed by the ebbs & flows of the game, with a crescendo when things are building, just a constant 'noise'. Don't forget also the stage managed choreographed flags, carefully placed so the camera's can see them. Same with the 'clacker' brigade Leicester & Fulham for two. Yeah plenty of 'noise', genuine atmosphere? No chance. We haven't had anything to cheer about at S6 since the playoff year so hardly surprising it's a bit morgue like. The teams we play against are mainly dour spoilers & all much of a muchness, whereas Palace are playing top sides who bring good support. The away support we get also doesn't lend much to the atmosphere. On that note the spectacle of a thousand wa*k away fans laughingly singing " Is this a library" is a joke in itself. Yeah, maybe something could be tweaked to improve the atmosphere, but as someone else as pointed out, it's events on the field that will dictate it in the long run. When there is something to play for & the ground is 'full' it takes care of itself, as seen in the playoff campaigns & other games that made it rock. Mike Hunt
Shut the Grandstand block off the back 10 rows of the North put away fans on the lower Leps

alan48
Love the Grandstand thanks . Best view in the ground , room for my legs , comfy seats , easy to doze off , keep fit climbing the steps ,very little noise , what could be better on an afternoon ?
PortlandOwl
While we can barely half fill a vast, cavernous stadium the atmosphere at Hillsborough is always going to be muted, to say the least.

People need to be tighter not sat with loads of space around them Alternatively give us the West stand a d try to create an away day atmosphere. Happy hour 13:00-14:00. Use the space behind the Leo for some pop up bars etc.... Target anyone who goes away.

thewookieisdown
Not wholly convinced that everyone who sings this has a firm grasp on what a "library" actually is
Yellowbelly
This is a lovely library. Look at all them lovely books all neat and tidy and the satisfaction you can get from an aligned set of tables. I have many more lovely photos of other lovely libraries if anyone’s interested.
