Popular Post Lord Snooty
Matt Penney - It's an opportunity for the lad to play games. You don't want to keep players when they have the opportunity like this to go an experience a different life education (Culture) , and to play a good quality of football and we think it will be beneficial to the football club that Matt goes over there and gets that experience and involved in first team football. Where it might be limited here if everyone stays fit. No (he's not in the shop window) we're still looking at Matt as having a future at the football Club it's just beneficial to get him some game time. Other Loans out - Potentially , we have to assess the group, and see what opportunities there are to get some of our lads games under their belt, where they might be limited here, so we'll only do what's beneficial to the football club and the individual player, we certainly won't leave ourselves short. There's been whispers here and there but until something is confirmed then there will be no comment on anything like that. Preston North End - Probably one of the hardest away games we can get, our record doesn't stand up too well against Preston away from home, but, I think as with anything I think the more negative results you've had in the past against a certain club the closer you are to getting that elusive win. They played well against Stoke, they've got good players, a group that have been together a while and know each other inside out who really play for the manager so we know it's a tough place to go, but we've got players who if we play to their strengths and abilities that can cause Preston problems and that's our aim. We always get plenty of tickets there we'l take numbers and I know we'll get fantastic backing. It'll be tough but we've got the players to do it. We'll be defensivly solid but we need to give our attacking players the freedom to go and ask them (Preston) questions. Alex Neil - He's done really well for them. He's done a great job. I thought he did really well at Norwich. Him and Preston look a good match. I know Alex well, he's created a good working environment. Brought players in from so called lower clubs and made them better given them a good platform. Positivity - My message to the players again will be to go out there and enjoy their football, enjoying your football is working hard for each other as a group, it's running forward as fast as you can and running back as fast as you can as a team, if your team mate makes a slip make sure you're the one that goes and covers him . It's a basic message, but you have to trust the ability of the players we've got in this squad. Nuhiu & The Subs- He's been on the bench all games apart from one. It's a test for these lads who aren't getting as much game time as possible. Adthe, Sam, Jordan , Fernando, probably frsutrated boys that will feel they want to do more to help the team but ultimately it comes down to the lads who have got the shirt at the moment and been doing well and getting results. All I can say is be patient opportunities will come. We've won 3 out of 4 games. I could understand if we'd lost 3 out of 4 games. Bury - Obviously it's nice for us to get through, but ...(Whats happened there) it's soul destroying for the purists of football, it's horrible and what's happening at Bolton ,I don't think it;s right. And to be honest I'd have much rather had the opportunity to play Bury in the cup at our place and it would have brought them much needed finance as well with the 50/50 split in the cup and I don't know why they haven't been given the chance to do that. A new coach? - No. Because I think we have to be careful with that because the manager situation needs sorting first. You can't bring in a new coach for a week or two weeks and then whoever is made the permanent manager might have his own ideas, so we continue as we are. Gaffer? - I'm absolutely loving it. There's 28,000 who would love the chance I've been given as a fan, but your head has to rule your heart. You're judged by those 28,000 and many more at home who can't make it. You're hoping you're making more correct decisions than wrong decisions and winning games. Things are going ok at the moment but I know how ruthless this game is, how ruthless this league is, I will do 100% what I think is to the benefit to the club to get 3 points. Day to day game to game. I'm not worrying about anything long term. The lads I'm working with here are different class. We're calm, considered and trying to make the right decisions for the football club. I'll continue to try and win games, I'm not going to put any pressure where it isn't needed. 16

Owls-Fan
Wonder how long before Bullen gets fed up and tells them to stop asking if he’s the new gaffer or he’ll “knook their teeth ooot”. He’s from Newcastle right?

Lord Snooty
Additional bullet! Morgan Fox & Liam Palmer - Morgans stood up to it, shown a heck of a lot of character, especially in the second half of the game and did really well. We got a clean sheet and he was part of that. Morgans done great. I think Liam has probably , is probably our first choice left back at the moment -even though he's right footed- because he's done so well. Morgan had a chance, did really well, especially second half so he's making it a difficult decision if Liam comes through unscathed in the training session today.

Salmonbones
From that, I took that Bullen doesn't actually believe he will be permanent manager. He clearly said this is his club now, which for a journeyman with 15 clubs under his belt, and at least 3 continents - is probably something he takes a bit of pride in. Feeling like you belong somewhere with that kind of "wherever I lay my hat" stance previously must mean a lot to him. prowl
we need to give our attacking players the freedom to go and ask them (Preston) questions. You mean like a pub quizz? Fletch walking into the area with their centre back, " "Which north east club won their first FA Cup Final in 1937, beating Preston North End?" Just as the corner kick is taken " Which English club won two Inter-Cities Fairs Cups in 1968 and 1971?" It would be great fun. (Sorry, just the way my mind works sometimes)

My old manager encouraged us to stick our fingers up their players arris just as the ball was about to be delivered from a set piece. "Hard to jump with a finger up the ricker!" He encouraged. In hindsight I might have preferred you'd been giving the team talk.
