Ronio
Dead ball specialists. we don't have any. We don't even have the players who can put a decent cross in whilst running down the wing from either side.

Highbury Owl
Also, now that I think about it, we were pretty clueless on Tuesday night with the few corners we had. Didn't look like we had gone to the bother of rehearsing anything.

Beany71
To add to the poor delivery none of the current team bust a gut to get on the end of them. The one thing with Llera, Reda, Rob jones etc they fought to get on the end of a cross, I don't see that with this squad.

Keep hearing from the media we are blessed with an outstanding attack force

Sadly missing since. One player always caused us problem was the shitehouse jake buxton as he bullied our defence much like these guys did. I have been very disappointed recently in Bannan's corners and on Saturday his free kick delivery. Surely we need a right footer taking corners down the left hand side to swing the ball in. Bannan constantly overhit the outswinging corners last night. A change is needed in who takes the corners and free kicks in my view. Given feeble forwards and lack of creativity, it's absolutely essential
Bolsterstone Owl
What we do need is someone who can take a bloody throw in.

jamthesun
It’s true we don’t have a good set piece taker or a good crosser. Unfortunately we don’t have anyone who can attack a decent cross if they had one. This though could be down to lack of bleedin’ Practice!
Rev Owl
I wonder if there's any benefit in getting the players together between games and practising corners and freekicks? I'm not sure whether other clubs do this. If not it could give us the edge. If it works we could extend the idea to other areas of the game, shooting for example? Owls Loyal
I am hoping that we mix it up tomorrow. Let us see if anyone can take a better corner of free kick than Bannan. This also gives us more of an element of surprise. Who knows what Reach or Fox for example may be capable of?

We were deadly from set pieces under Megson in the promotion season, last time we were any good though.

Sadly no one listened to you, yet again Bannan thought he had to take every set piece even rushing back into his own half to take a free kick which he passed ten feet sideways. Luckily he didn't get over in time to take the final corner from which ultimately the goal was scored.
