It did happen. I wasn't sure it as a fact or just one of those building site stories. I googled it after I posted. Happened in 2002, before I started work. 2 lads in a cherry picker that went over. One died, the other survived. The story was that the lad who died was wearing a safety harness, where as the lad who survived wasn't.
