What if we lose to Rotherham?

Recommended Posts

according to the rotherham fans on praise or grumble yesterday, they were saying its going to be hard for them to put a full team out on tuesday night due to many of the players carrying injuries, so if we dont get 3 points on tuesday then we dont deserve to be in the play offs  RIGHT!!!

Frecklington went off with a pulled hamstring and Ward was playing with hand injury bandaged up, then went down with a facial injury and damaged an ankle towards end.

Reading forums it appears some Rotherham fans celebrated Fulham goal knowing it knocked us out of top 6. :columbo:

How desperate can mini pigs get?

Tactical genius. Not only prevented 'massives' braggin rights to send us down, but gave Fulham 3 points to dump pigs out of play-offs! #rufc

@Imlisawisa Goingtoplansi far just need to beat them on tuesday

One glimmer amongst the gloom is that we could really stuff Wednesday's season up on Tuesday.  If only we could win a bloody game #rufc https://t.co/lgz0MybNLJ

Those in real world....

@Imlisawisa All accounts he's got the job with Barker.. really hope not fondness for Warne aside he's not a clue about been a manager

@Imlisawisa Glad you tried to make fun of the situation because he's no flipping tactical genius in any footballing sense. Can't wait for L2

Strange how some people change overnight. Since quite early on this season there have been two camps. One concerned at the playing system and how the season will turnout in spite of reasonable results and league position but generally still hoping Carlos would turn it round( called the moaners and Carlos haters on here); and then those who thought Carlos was brilliant, that the league position was all and that it was the sign of a good team that we were winning even when playing badly(happy clappers).

Now suddenly, with the drop to 7th, which is no surprise at all to many of us, the Carlos supporters have turned on him.

What is happening now has been coming all season, the football has been poor for too long and it looks as though  Carlos is unlikely to see the start of next season bar a miracle. Why a coach who has always wanted attacking and exciting football ( no word for a clean sheet in Portuguese), has adopted a single style of ultra defensive possession is a mystery to many.

Defeat to Rotherham would simply underline the problem that has been with us all season. But probably too late to appoint a good new manager so if the Chairman decided not to wait until the close season, Lee Bullen as acting Head Coach would be the most likely decision for the remaining games.

Not me been saying it all season. First called it at brum away back in Septembe. We won't get promoted under Carlos . It's been as clear as day all season but many have chose to delude themself.

On on a side note it's funny how the comparisons where we were at the same point last season have suddenly stopped

Not seen any of the previous Carlos Inners actually 'turn on him'...

I'm really disappointed that after the early evidence yesterday (picking McManaman giving an indication we were hopefully going to attack down the flanks) that by half time it was clear that nothing had changed in the 2 week break. Apart from Hutch returning, which was short-lived...

I really do expect us to beat Rotherham and i fully expect and hope Carlos takes us to the season end. Review then.

Carlos's talk about attacking footbal was just talk.

Apart from about 12 games last season we suffered dire first halfs, and scored one goal per game.

Despite what he might say, its utter safety first football.

We're only 1 position below aren't we?

With 7 games to go

We only won 1 of our last 6 games last season, and about this time we had just lost 4-1 away at Bristol.

Still 21 points to play for, we need 11 to finish with same tally as last season...

You make fair points..my tipping point was the post match interview where he wibbled about small details in a game we should have seen off.

If we don't beat Rotherham, would you then want Carlos removed?

My view is that we are sleepwalking to 7th-9th as we are, and yet there is a golden opportunity for a pretty modest side to go up in the play-offs this season, and we should have a final roll the dice rather than knowingly let this chance go begging.

Wibbled?

Isnt that what Edmund Blackadder said with his grundies on his head and a pencil in each nostril?

Made even more mystifying given the amount of money spent on forward players this season. DC may well be thinking the same IMO, as his attacking philosophy seemed to be a major reason CC got the job in the first place.

One Miller is hoping we win. WTF:

From Millers Mad Forum.... I NEVER EVER thought I would say this but I hope Wednesday give us a right tonking so that Tony Stewart might finally wake up to the notion that Warnes is not the answer.

We simply cannot go into a major rebuilding job like we need in the summer with someone with Warnes lack of experience and managerial ability.

This is getting serious now and the fact the noises coming out of the club seem to be indicating Warnes has it in the bag shows just how little football acumen we have in the board room.
