Blatant penalty yesterday

Agreed with Saunders, if u give a penno for shirt pulling in the box u'll give 3 a game.

Then they should give 3 a game - or ten a game or however many it takes

It's cheating pure and simple - blocking attackers to get a clear run at a header - corners nowadays resemble american football with players just acting as blockers

The reason it happens so often is because players are allowed to get away with it

Its more usuall to see an attacker penalised for shoing the defender away who is all over them

Can see the argument. Should do like they have with dissent this year and trail the emphasis in pre season so players know to clean their act up first.

It perplexes me why fans subscribe to this " it should have been a penalty , sour grapes scenario " , had they been awarded any penalty it could quite easily have been missed , the subsequent restart means every player is restarting in entirely different positions , and the ensuing game would have borne no resemblance to the game which unfolded on the day. FF would not have scored his goal cos the playing positions would have been entirely different , indeed he may have gone on to score 2 or 3 in this alternative match , penalties and bad refereeing decisions all alter the course of a game , what matters is how players respond , and ultimately the final result

Thing is, when they are showing a live game on Sky or any other channel, each incident in the game gets magnified out of all proportion. That's what gives the 'pundits' something to talk about.

There were plenty of decisions that went against us but equally, plenty that were in our favour, not least the fact that Hutchinson was walking a tightrope and could have easily been sent off for that shoulder charge.  I got proper negged for saying the ref did us a favour but that was balanced out by Gardner committing 3 dirty fouls that in any other game would have seen him sent off.

Quite right. The ref had a completely normal game in the Championship . It all evened out in the end.

You're on the wrong site. They don't do existential realism on here.

When fans say..we should have had at least 3 goals I dont get it...if we scored the first the game would have been completely different?!

It's actually a foul by Baker.  He clearly pushes Hutch first.  However, if the ref doesn't see that, he should be giving them a penalty as it was a definite tug of the shirt after that!
