mrgund
The thing to remember in London is the car is an alien thing. Pretty much.
roaminowl
ah thanx. just checked that out, looks favorite now. you buying your tickets early on that oyster thingymajig or you POTD? cant imagine it will get as busy as Stanmore will it. just gotta get parking sorted now, any NCPs near Edgware road? they are a fiver on a Saturday apparently. I'm going to use my contactless card for the tube. It costs the same (for travel) as the Oyster card, as it maxes out at same rate. That way I won't need to get a card and then get it refunded when I leave London. Somebody else advised me of this (in another thread) cos I'm clueless really. dewsburyowl58
Not sorted for parking myself yet! Stopping in a hotel 3.2 miles from Wembley on the Friday night. got parking there but get kicked out on Saturday at 12. Not yet sorted anywhere to park closer to Wembley. Anyone know if there are unofficial car parks within a mile and how much they are, as i dont fancy spending £30 to be stuck in the official car park for hours after the game. Wondering if i should book someones driveway or not. I think parking at Stanmore is a good option , use the tube station car park or book someones drive on justpark

dewsburyowl58
Thanx. Done Stanmore before, good option when travelling in on the day but i would actually be driving away from Wembley into a very busy car park if i did that. staying where im staying it seems Edgeware Road is the better option. I'm staying in Edgeware wasn't aware , see what I did there !!! I could tube to Wembley from there ?

NorfolkNChance
Pretty sure it's parking within a shopping centre at Edgware, with a section cornered off for commuters could be busy on a Saturday if you can't park in the main car park Seen a lot of shouts for Stanmore, MK and Watford. Contemplating Luton, massive NCP, into St Panc then tube to Wembley Park
Guest Hirstpower
Guys please listen to me. I've lived in London 6 years now and so many people stating Watford Stanmore . I live in Willesden 2 minute walk from Neasden station which is one stop from Wembley. My road is 10 minutes from M1 motorway junction 1. The road I live on is free parking, with no parking restriction on match day. It's certainly the best place to park on Saturday and you will be back on m1 in a jiffy. I'll even escort you guys in my car the short cut back to the motorway. My address is 65 Denzil road nw102uy.
Box_Man
Im stopping in the Premier inn Hendon (the Hyde) Want to park near Kingsbury and get the tube in but it seems you cant jump on there for some reason. another option is leaving my car near the hotel and getting the 83 bus from Edgware road to Wembley park station in 27 mins. bet the buses back are a nightmare though? No tube from Edgware road to Wembley? Too many choices and im being very indecisive.

Box_Man
We're stopping at the same hotel and plan to get the bus. Although you have to use contactless card or Oyster card or day ticket, buses don't take cash. Plan on going to weatherspoons on the Friday from 3pm onwards just 50 yrs away called the moon under water. We're leaving car around the hotel. After an hour or so the crowds will disappear and will be easier to get back. Don't expect not to be in traffic though 40,000+ Wednesdayites just enjoy the occasion WAWAW
