speaking to a few of the coaches a while back at an FA coaching night at Middlewood road and they said Weaver has all but retired as his knees are completely knackered again.

He is staying at the club in a coaching role though.

Jones couldnt stand weaver the minute he walked in the club. Nicky back tracked on a move to cardiff when dj was manager. Dj holds a serious grudge! Nickys still collecting his wages.

Or maybe Jones feels that Weaver just isn't good enough for the Championship any more? If Jones was after him before don't you think he'd give him a chance now?

Hes spoke to nicky just a couple of times in 7mths. Backtracking on the cardiff move is the only explanation for ousting him from the squad as soon as he could. most owls would agree hw didn't do muh wrong to be relegated from number 1 to number 4 within 3 weeks if djs arrival. Hes not had a sniff since, even borrowing an amateur player in portugal rather than risk nicky having a decent pre-season..

All very strange this.

If Bywater is unfit, Weaver should be on the bench. He's at the club and in full training.

A bit bizarre why he isn't involved - maybe a fall out with D?

If Weaver is absolutely definitely not on the cards then the next choice would be Arron Jameson.

And if Jameson's unfit (again), then the 5th choice would be Cam Dawson, but he's just been called up for England U18s for Wednesday night.

The next man after that would be 16 year old Joe Wildsmtih - the 6th choice keeper.

Davies has played a few games as a trialist for the Development Squad.

It's some crisis - let's just hope Kirkland doesn't get injured or we might be down the U15s keeper next...
