Backtracking on the cardiff move is the only explanation for ousting him from the squad as soon as he could. most owls would agree hw didn't do muh wrong to be relegated from number 1 to number 4 within 3 weeks if djs arrival. A bit bizarre why he isn't involved - maybe a fall out with D? If Weaver is absolutely definitely not on the cards then the next choice would be Arron Jameson. And if Jameson's unfit (again), then the 5th choice would be Cam Dawson, but he's just been called up for England U18s for Wednesday night. The next man after that would be 16 year old Joe Wildsmtih - the 6th choice keeper. Davies has played a few games as a trialist for the Development Squad. Didn't have much to do but did it well. Particularly remember him coming for a cross from a corner (something Kirkland could learn from). It was reported before the season started that this keeper was signing for us after being released by Everton, and having a move to Southampton fall through.
