@owlstalk
Barkley will flip off as quickly as he can after experiencing the Hillsborough crowd during a few tough games.. Jay Bothroyd will have already been written off after last nights performance by many of our 'less blessed in the brain dept' fans and so will start to become a target of boo-boys If continued to be on the bench our fans will sing for COG during games despite what it may/may not do to the strikers on the pitch who hear it By the end of the year Rodri, Bothroyd, Barkley etc will not be here Chris O'Grady will remain a fans favourite, as will Jermaine Johnson, Llera and Antonio - regardless of how they play Gary Madine will remain a scapegoat along with Pecnik, and all the central midfielders (yep ALL of them) We'll struggle at home and the fans will boo our own players then wonder why they don't play better Owlstalk Shop
Leaping Lannys Perm
I'm not going to debate most of it because I understand where you are coming from, but don't you think Barkley deserved to be questioned. I'm not talking about his all around play, but his failure to beat the first man on at least five consecutive corners deserves questioning. It's not like anyone booed him. Don't think the fans can be criticised for muttering when this kept happening. Most were probably muttering that we should let someone else take the corners. Hardly a vicious attack. royalowlisback
Neil will criticise anybody who doesn't agree with him. He will probably use a statement like "Lets all boo the poo pooe players and that innit".
Oooh Lala Sibon
If even half of these predictions come true we will be back in league 1 next year. Not in the JOC bashing class but threads dedicated to it nonetheless. At the moment they are favoured by some fans because of what they've shown this season. Lee A
Chris O'Grady will remain a fans favourite, as will Jermaine Johnson, Llera and Semedo - regardless of how they play Swapping that one round, Antonio was easily our best player yesterday. Dagmeister
Swapping that one round, Antonio was easily our best player yesterday. .... and therein lies some optimism. Even for someone who knew the club he was decidedly iffy for 2/3 games when he rejoined. More time is needed. There will be surprises no doubt. Some will cut it and some won't. I hope not but Semedo might be Gary Shelton re-visited. Gary was the first man on the teamsheet 'til we got promoted which proved to be a step too far for him. In short give people time..... but pick the form players, and wherever practicable, in their correct position. Miffed
It was actually cringeworthy listening to the COG chants which started very early in the first half. Granted, the team needed changing as the second half went on, but cant we get behind the players on the field first? Chanting the name of a player on the bench in the first half isnt going to do the confidence of the players on the field much good is it?

Dagmeister
wud it be a bad thing if rodri barkley and bothroyd wernt here at the end of the year? ta Barkley and Bothroyd won't be part of our long term future. I hope that Rodri will be. You have to smile at the COG 'Fans favourite' claim.

Drop said left footer who then cannot believe it & hands in transfer request. History has a way of repeating itself.......anyone remember Woody n Purse??????????? ......and subsequent demise to Div 1?????????????????
