s29wfc
Totally agree with your post, they should change this site to Owls Moan Mate, its absolutely unreal on here at times. theres only 2 teams these moaners would have accepted, arsenal and man u. Otherwise iys moan this moan that, ooo its the worst draw ever, lets just give them the game now!!
Wolfmanjack
St. Andrews is a horrible place to visit! Who remembers last time when we went there and were locked in the pen after the game because all their fans were outside wanting a fight and throwing bricks over the fences at us? Funny that, we left just before the end, persuaded the police to let us out, and were home just after 6:00. Didn't even know about the trouble until I called a mate to talk about Football Heaven, about half an hour after we got home, only to be told that they were still in Birmingham. Moral of the story, look old, and be polite to the nice policeman.
Mel_Sterlands_Mullet
The only way to make this more exciting would be to knock them out and get into the quarters. It is possible :)
Guest East_Dene_Owl
Not the greatest draw but Brighton, Reading or Orient away would have been worse. We go there with no one expecting us to do owt so pressure is off like it was when we were away at Bristol City. We've also added bonus that Brum are at Wembley in Carling Cup final following weekend so I can't see any of there players risking suspension or injury. WadsleyOwl
6000 tickets should make it a lively day out. New ground for me. Is it walkable from New Street? Yes it is mate, along Digbeth High St and then climb the hill, not a nice walk though :st2:

nevthelodgemoorowl
Home draw against anyone is good must admit Birmingham away is not great but with only Madine cup tied, Reynolds settling in and Osbourne adding a bit of bite to midfield and Johnson and Teale firing on all cylinders we have to be bookies favourites for an upset. Also we can console ourselves with the fact that we have a far better draw than the pigs. i used to be sc_owl
Disappointed. It'll be a tough place to go and win, and it's hardly going to be a money spinner either.
Bring Back Beni
[ I fancy us for this game, Carling Cup final next week and they get a poo poo crowd so we should out sing them and hopefully by then our backline will be used to playing with each other and be a unit. Although, by them resting players it will mean Phillips plays

goodytheowl
I remember, we were on their end above us cos we couldn't get tickets. Still got up when we nearly scored halfway through second half (Gilbert?) and got a few funny looks. Left a couple of mins early when we were losing at the end though! I'm sure he'd be up for this one, Villa's fiercest rivals and all that.
boston-owl
This game has upset written all over it. Birmingham in the carling cup the week after. Playing Man City this wednesday and are currently 17th in the premiership facing a relegation battle the fa cup could be seen as a distraction and with it being there 3rd home game in a week chances are a) the players which play wont be up for it and b? lowish crowd after 3 in a week at home Definatly winnable although no getting away birmingham favourites. mark77
Dont discount it being on TV, 5 games per Round are selected and there's only a maximum of 6 ties that weekend (as 2 Replay's are going to be played the same day). Its not a bad draw, they're fighting relegation and are starting to get fixtures mounting up, they dont really need a replay plus with the League Cup Final the following week the FA Cup is certainly down the list of priorities. The pitch at St Andrews is in a poor state and will only be worse 3 weeks from now which should be a bit of a leveller for us!!! Nothing to lose so just go there with a big following and have a go!!!
