Guest intercity0wl
Drove past it on the A12 mate, right on the side of the dual carriageway - a fair amount of building work going on. I know you have travelled from Nottingham area Sam, but any road works / disruption you think we should be aware of ?.
Sam779
No mate. Got on the A1 at Grantham, then took A14, M11, A120 at Stansted and then A12. Just a couple of speed cameras on the A120 to look out for and of course the average cameras on the A14. Surprisingly no roadworks.

fredmciverslovechild
Drove past it on the A12 mate, right on the side of the dual carriageway - a fair amount of building work going on. Driven past it loads of times since they started building it. Seeing as it's right by the A12 you'd have thought they would put a junction right there to make access easy; they've only just started on the junction which is due for completion next Spring.....convenient for the end of the season! Benjani
Drove past the ground earlier tonight and in Suffolk at the minute, quite a bit of rain earlier but stopped around 5pm and hasn't rained since. Fear not Wednesdayites. Can't believe we're talking about a possible waterlogged pitch in the middle of August though.

pahowl
When we arrived at the train station yesterday at 3pm it was throwing it down, roads were like rivers , so a robbing taxi driver charged us £10 to our hotel, aid hopw good rain was for custom. It was funny at Liverpool Street Station yesterday seeing rain pouring in through the roof and also spirting out of drainpipes from the roof all over the retail units and platform areas. Rain eased about 4pm and stopped by about 5pm, pitch should have no problems coping with that rain. Went into the town last night to Odeon and then for a chinese- taxi cost £5 each way to Balkern e Gate - only about 1 mile from here.

northeastowl
It hammered it down yesterday but stopped early evening and has been fine since! Off to the funhouse (wetherspoons) now for a beer and bite to eat!
punkskaphil
I'm not sure where Owl30 gets his whispers from, but the pitch was so dry yesterday that they had to get the hoses out to water it before the game, and again at half time...

I know looked more like drought weather than extreme torrential rain! Did have the rain on the way back though. Hammered it down so much 20mph was fastest you could go really and the road was just water. Couldnt see the lanes or any road markings.
