The Spark That Ignited It All...

Recommended Posts

Just for a few minutes, in front of North Stand, few 1-2s and the crowd get lifted.

Then Wallace with a wonder goal that we alll know he's capable of. After that it was a different game, it was like last season.

Wheres that been? Why have we been without it? FF playing like Messi at times, where's that been? We have it within us.

Im not saying this is a turning point, but finally we started to see what this squad is capable of.

Personally id still like to see FF wide right but ATM ill take the 3 points.

The urgency we started the 2nd half with, and the extra yard of pace we played with lifted the crowd. That then lifted the players even more - surprise surprise, a goal comes along!

Isnt it great when we play with pace and the crowd get going! Really enjoyed that 2nd half

The continuous positivity that Carlos exhumes which gets ignored by fans.

A week for players to be rested, niggles got over and players coming back-Carlos being aware of having more of the options he wants. (Whatever the fans say some of the players looked like they were running on empty versus Wolves)

Fernando gets his wage rise

A week for Carlos to mull things over.

Nicking one of your local rivals best players for pocket change.

Hutch signs contract extension

Playing a team that doesn't have the confidence to beat Wednesday

Second half they always open things up and focus more on getting forward quickly

Sam Winnall and Fernando Forestieri up for it for various reasons and having loads of energy.

Its not really a magic trick or a secret.

I think this is why ppl get so upset and moan at things so much. We all know what this team is capable of and although we're doing ok league position wise. The performances haven't been up to last seasons standards

Winnall did look up for it. Defo made a difference and he's got a great touch.

Yeah don't know what those barnsley fans where on about on the radio. On today's evidence, his first touch is fantastic.

Get so upset?! Think fans should stay at home and watch challenge tv if they purely want entertainment...this forum is like a review page for jack and beanstalk at the crucible sometimes.

Dawot!!!

I don't mean upset as in crying and stuff.  I mean that's why ppl moan about bad performances. It's quite reasonable for fans to expect the same players to reach the same level they're capable of. Football is a passionate game, it's not like going to the theatre where you're purely there to watch a show

We upped the tempo & played higher up the pitch.

it really is baffling why we've changed how we play tactically.

Is it?

If you were the manager and you played nice exciting football that for the sake of arguing won on average 1.6points per game, and then you shut the windows and doors as he says and started winning 2.2points per game would you go back to flair (without key players who are injured) or stick to a system that seams to be scoring more points than ever before.

Maybe playing ugly and winning is the whatever it takes that Chansiri spoke of???

Now i I think we can be more creative and hard to beat at the same time. But that may require players form to improve, players to be fit and not injured. Until that happens I'd be baffled if the team went back to playing pretty and losing!
