Let the other teams worry about us for a change and how they are going to cope with our fast flowing passing game.
The home matches all look winnable. Its the away ones that slightly concern me, but Nott County was a big one before we beat them on saturday.
Still think its going to go to the last day.
However, as an omen lived in Wolverhampton at the time when Dave Jones's wolves side got promoted to the PL after beating the blades 3-0 in the playoff final, walked up to see the team parade though the city centre in a open top bus, and remember thinking at the how brilliant would it be if we got back to the PL league, and how much fun the celebrations would be.

All of those away games are very, very difficult. I can't help but think that united have the easier run in.
Brentford and Colchester may have nothing to play for by the time we play them. This could be important.
Rochdale and Exeter may need wins against United to keep them up.
Mid table teams are the best to be playing at the business end of the season - is there any way of highlighting relegation threatened clubs?

The 2 home games are Charlton & us!

We need to win all our games in March to ease the pressure a bit.
My view currently is that if we win our remaining 5 home games we will grab second. 5 homes wins would put us on 85 pts and assume we'll pick some bits and pieces up away that would take us around the 90 pts mark which has to be enough surely.

I don't think 2nd spot will be decided by the Carlisle and Colchester games, because I think that it will go down to the last game for sure. I have also ruled Huddersfield out, just don't fancy them, obvious bottlers.
We have one extra home game, but also we face one more team in the top half than United.
Last game decider!
We could go up, whilst Wycombe go down....

Colchester Carlisle and brentford games all in a row are the ones that will decide that 2nd spot IMO
By the time we play those games 2 of those teams will have nowt to play for

As for those saying United have an easier run in, trips to notts county, Hartlepool and Exeter, as well as a home game against stevenage will be anything but easy.

Win all our home games and that will give us 85 points, meaning a couple of draws away should be enough. Easier said than done mind.

And MK away

We really shouldn't fear anyone going into these last few games. I am fairly confident we will grab that 2nd spot, but let's keep our feet on the ground for now ey.

That will give us 88 points, which should be enough.
If we could get 7 wins or a couple of draws then I'm sure we'll go up.
I'm confident that we'll do it.

IF we go up - it is primarily down to our home form - and they always say thats the mark of a good side.Just win all our home games and everything will fall in to place.
Our home form has been superb. Lets pray we keep it up

Indeed.
5 wins out of 5 and we'll have done it provided we pick up at least 2 more points on the road. The extra home game over united should make us favourites to get 2nd.
And with regards to these tricky away games, I think if we keep winning as we are the momentum towards the end of the season will build and build. Wouldn't surprise me if we beat Huddersfield and Brentford. The slightest chance of success and the fans will carry the players over the finish line.

Don't forget the +8 goal difference united have.
At this stage that is worth an extra point to them??
For now I'd say yes - we need to finish on more points than them

While ever we are sat on the same amount of points as them, yes.

Who do you think has the hardest run in there? Huddersfield, Colchester, Carlisle and Brentford look tough to me, really tough. For the pigs, I'd say County, Hartlepool, MK and Stevenage are tough but I really don't rate MK.
Looking at that I'd say we are slightly worse off but hopefully I'm wrong.
I reckon Orient have quite a tough run in.....

We can all look at the fixtures as much as we like - easy here / difficult there / should win this / could draw that.
In all honesty now, it's got little to do with who we or anyone else has got to play. It's all about having the right mentality to seee the job through. And that's why I am confident (yes of course a little nervous) that we'll be OK. I haven't seen or experienced a mentally tougher Owls side for a very long time nor one that's exhibited such a sense of togetherness. No matter who plays who, home or away, these are going to be the key ingredients over the final few weeks.
Believe!

The +8 goal difference will have gone by the last game ....look how many we have pulled back in 3 games ....
If we do pull the goal difference back then it won't matter as the blades would have to have drawn or lost and us win.

I think the next 2 games are crucial we must take 6 points. If pigs drop any against count they could be 5 or 6 points adrift by the time they play Chesterfield if we can win the next 2.
I said to people if we beat County I faniced us for auto. I think we'll do it at home to Carlise if we win with pigs away at MK!

I think we have to be realistic and say that we will drop some points in the remaining games, with them two been high possibilities.

Yes I do, smart arse, but that it isn't very likely that is going to happen is it?
In reality the most likely way we will catch up with their goal difference is by them dropping points.

I would love it if they were relying on us not winning. We are drawing after 90 minutes when their game ends, cue MASSIVE piggy celebrations only to hear we have scored a 109th minute winner. (Think Filipe Massa's title celebrations in Brazil that year).

Huddersfield have 5 out of their next 7 games away from home.
The 2 home games are Charlton & us!
That is very reassuring - to be honest if they win all those they deserve 2nd place.
Charlton / Owls first and second - the Notts County was a big result and I am pretty sure we will win easliy tomorrow!

Not necessarily, they win 1-0 we win 3-0 and the difference is reduced. If we do pull the goal difference back then it won't matter as the blades would have to have drawn or lost and us win.

a less exagerated version could easily happen, we end up on the same points but we could bang 5 in against wycombe or someone, could be the difference
