  1. Just thought I'd give this thread a little bump because we posted episode 20 at the weekend. For better or worse there's been plenty to talk about this season! Available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, Acast, PocketCasts, TuneIn We also have a website here
  2. Or maybe being drafted in to play a completely different position on short notice can have a negative impact on a players performance?
  3. Thanks. We're on episode 10 now, so hopefully that bodes well!
  4. Thanks so much fellas, we're so made up at the feedback. I think we've settled into a weekly rhythm now so that will likely be the format going forward.
  5. Bullen? He said he was experienced and ready for the opportunity. https://www.theguardian.com/football/football-league-blog/2019/aug/14/caretaker-manager-lee-bullen-sheffield-wednesday
  6. To be fair getting a fee for that donkey is cause for considerable celebration.
  7. I'd be interested in a PM too, please.
  8. Has any team ever had an injury free season? Seems very unlikely.
  9. https://www.theguardian.com/football/ng-interactive/2018/oct/11/next-generation-2018-60-of-the-best-young-talents-in-world-football Hammoud first made the headlines in 2016 when, at the age of 15 years and four months, he became the second-youngest player to feature in the Bulgarian top flight. Born to a Lebanese father and Bulgarian mother, he provided an assist on his debut for Lokomotiv Plovdiv in the derby against Botev. Before joining Sheffield Wednesday’s academy in 2017, Hammoud had trials with Arsenal and Stoke City. Pace and stamina - he offered to play in three games for three Lokomotiv youth teams in one day - are two key weapons. He adores Lionel Messi and once said that his Manchester United-supporting grandma is the reason he fell in love with football. Metodi Shumanov Watch Eyad Hammoud in action Makes the Hamoud one seem odd. Tapped up by Real Madrid?
  10. I've never really liked him and Hutch as a partnership. They both want to be QB and as a result drop further and further back to secure that space, ending up with one as a third CB and the other as a deep DM and no real support further forward. It let Reading off the hook so often today, particularly in the first half. I think Bannan had been instructed to push forward more in the second.
  11. All ignoring the fact that he didn't even hit the target from a very good Boyd cross, right in the middle of the goal and hoofed another cut back (although a much trickier chance) straight out of play.
  12. Everyone in our bit was complaining that we couldn't understand a word he said apart from repeating 'ONTHEPITCHATHILLSBOROUGH' again and again and that the usual guy had mastered the art of the old crappy PA system!
  13. A highlights video would be a nice touch but might be tricky for some of the older players with less footage available. I will say that at the back of the Kop I can barely ever hear who they are.
  14. This is spot on, shameful how badly he's been managed in his time here. In the first season it was almost like he was punished for his success (stealing the limelight from Carlos?). Great to see him turning in a consistent run under a manager that knows what to do with players who aren't 30+ years old.
  15. He had three chances laid on a platter for him on Saturday - neshed one all-together, headed the best straight at the keeper and drew a half-decent save with the third. I've come to the conclusion he's our worst striker, any of the others would have at least grabbed one.
