It was a dive. He was going down before their guy even touched him (which he barely did).

I would prob agree with this. bacjed up with the fact that he dives all the time.

he made a meal of it but the real issue was how the ref was so easily won over by them. The whole stuff with may vs their keeper was a complete joke, as soon as he gave into that any 50/50 chances were not going our way in their half.

 

 

Absolutely agree. Hoe do you get a warning from the ref for being pole-axed by the keeper?!

Referee made a mistake with this, as he did with the situations between May and their 'keeper. May ended up getting booked for what was his first offence.

Pen, like I always say, if it's same tackle ANYWHERE else on the pitch it's a foul. Compare it to when a defender is pegged in his own corner flag, the slightest touch he goes down and wins a freekick. Disgusting decision, seriously falling out with football

The defender DID NOT win the ball reckless challenge ...seen those given many many times, when there is contact a player is entitled to go down, never a booking. Ref was flipping awful AGAIN!!!

Imo as said he went down too early, perhaps if he stayed on his feet now and again we would get these decisions

If Maguire had not been looking for it then it would have been given. However having now watched it 10 times it was a penalty every day of the week. The defender comes in and makes a challenge but gets nothing of the ball. If that had been at the other end you can bet it would have been given.

We don't get penalties and I would say Chris Powell's reaction when asked about it tells you everything you need to know.

He pushed the ball past the defender, the defender missed the ball and took Maguire down  .
