Wouldn’t be ideal starting ugbo on his own mate with no team mates? I know he’s got various goals this season but he ain’t superman

Maybe a tad harsh on smith that ? Also I’d look to play pato on the left then , feel Iorfa needs less protection than famewo does , pato could provide that cover too , maybe palmer plays lcm too.

I'm not sure about the rest of the team but assuming Poveda is out I think we need Ugbo, Windass and Gass or Musaba as a front 3. Although Smith did well yesterday, I don't know it's a hard one this week.

Gassama must start , he’s the most cut throat player we have especially if Poveda injured . He can skin a man in a tight area , he’s strong , now getting the goals - assists too .

Yet Musaba is our top scorer and imo more composed than Gassama, not composed necessarily per se. It's a close call and wouldn't be disappointed either way.

I think gassama has played a lot less though and still has 4 goals , I do like musaba just feel gassama on the pitch we’re more likely to score / create . No harm in both playing though to be honest , just that because we don’t have an abundance of wide players in that mould it’s nice to have an impact sub

Prefer a proper lb, if bernard out ike or famewo lcb. If famewo has to be lb would try johnson lcm to have any chance of a threat on left.

 

Prefer 3/5 in midfield over 2/4, have struggled outnumbered in middle, vaulks/johnson can perform well in a 3.

Pato an aerial outball upfront, other 2 with pace.

 

Poss subs Windass on right for ugbo, musaba on left for gassama, smith central for pato, johnson for vaulks/a lb, pol for palmer or a cb moving iorfa central

Yeah it’s a tough one , more options of late and players like diaby / palmer really put great displays in , as did iorfa at right back .
