They could but I doubt they'd go through the hard work of digging up a few miles of dual carriageway from Gleadless

It's not far or hard to go from Herdings Park to Meadowhead

I know, and it won't happen

The tram has transferred to the local authority today and the spokesman on the radio said they were looking for expansion of the network, so we'll see

All sounds good but this is Sheffield city council we’re talking about

Whats it got to do with the council?  They aren't building it, they don't have anything to do with it?

Save that for your nannan's facebook pages

No we just moan about the current chairman. Even when no one is putting up the reddies to buy him out.

Really 👀 so you can just go around building things without council permission then?

 Right ok..

Their inability to actually promote the home of football is pathetic

We don't moan about the council on here mate

It's literally the dullest thing anyone can do

No not really

They could do it now that the tram is back in sensible ownership

As far back as 2009 they have been discussing plans to end the network but its never really gained any traction.

A new stadium and increased revenue from the area might make it a more lucrative proposal now.

City Council have missed a trick over the years. They should have been backing this club, the home of the most popular sport in the World, promoting the City etc, encouraging visitors and investment. Hope they can get the planning through quickish.

They're just as incompetent and waste resources as much Chansiri.

Sheffield is a hard sell for a weekend break. Countryside is nice but the rest unfortunately is just less than other major cities.

Yep, 50 years of small minded political decisions. More interested in speed humps and bus gates than attracting visitors. Rant over !
