West Ham v AZ Alkmar - Fans attack family area, but it didn't go so well..

Recommended Posts

Apparently after the final whistle in the AZ v West Ham game,  the AZ Ultras tried to attack an area where the friends and family of the West Ham players were.

Players like Benrahama and Antonio tried to get in there to defend there people but were stopped.

Fortunately,  there seemed to be Hodor from game of thrones at the top of steps where the ultras were trying to get to...

There's another video that shows Lucas Pacquetta piling into them,  think Cresswell is trying to get in there as well.

tbf I think even I could have decked a few of them.

Most are quite clearly not wanting to do any actual fighting lol

Seems to be some big problems with fans in Holland at the minute. Groningen v Ajax was abandoned recently and I think there was trouble in the Roma v Feyenoord game too.

There's been a problem in Dutch football for a while.

What a hero!

But that must be the worst gang of "ultras" in Europe.

30 of them held off by a bloke in his 50's who looks like his heart is about to pack in lol

Makes you proud to be British.

The more you watch it,  the more you get the impression of huge bloke, with the advantage of being in a higher position at the top of the bottleneck, simply swatting a few schoolkids away.

Still looks impressive, and that fellah will be dining out on that forever!

Yes he worked that higher ground advantage beautifully.

I despise pathetic “ultras” like those.

one big lad takes them all on and wins. Love the bit at the end when he tries to capture one of them. Tug of war against 6 w*****s. When he lets him go about 20 of them collapse at the bottom of the stairs lol

riot police could easily have piled in to the az tosses. Whacked them with sticks or arrested them. They were easy to identify

yet let them walk past. Pathetic policing. No wonder NL has a hooligan problem if that’s how they deal with it

It's like Thermopalaye. It's a classic example of how a smaller more organised force can defend a narrow pass against overwhelming numbers. Great history lesson.

Or Rourke's Drift. "Why us, Sarge?" ... "Because we're 'ere lad. Because we're 'ere."

That Knollsy is a West Ham legend apparently. Their Tango.
