Does Moore not trust BPF?

BPF played for Northern Ireland on Tuesday night probably didn't get back to Sheffield some time late Wednesday or early Thursday.  Makes sense to me not to ask him to travel down to London on Friday when Wildsmith had done alright in his last game.

Friday according to Moore. Missed all the preparation for the game so Wildsmith got the nod.

Sounds like BPF is No1.

Wildsmith didn't do much wrong yesterday. OK he dropped his first cross but that's clearly because he was fouled (though the ref didn't give it) and his next kick (when his head was still spinning) was woeful.

But even when he doesn't drop clangers he just doesn't inspire confidence like BPF has done (eg first few matches). It remains to be seen whether BPF can still inspire confidence now we've seen him drop clangers too.

a cross comes in and travels 30-40  odd yards and some bloke pokes it in from 3 yards out at the back post i'd be looking at the keeper whos stuck on his line .......yes brown should have done better but that was poor from wildsmith

These were my thoughts exactly Torry..one thing that BPF seems quite good at is claiming crosses, especially if he sees our two largeish centre backs having a ciggy  and a chat on the right hand corner of the penalty area!

First goal wildsmith made a reasonable save , parried into a decent area and the lads provided a good finish (questionable defending though )

Second goal , he could have come out perhaps BUT mainly poor defending no closing down the cross and then brown not being goal side .

Certainly not goalkeeping errors like the ones BPF has been making

It's not BPF that is the problem, he killed it mid week in the international games at a MUCH higher level than L1

He made individual mistakes that cost us goals in 4 of the last five games he has played for us. He was the problem in those games. The keeper’s shirt should now be Wildsmith’s to lose - BPF needs to wait for his chance and take it when it comes, just like Wildsmith has. If BPF walks straight back into the side then that tells him he doesn’t have to try his best to keep his place.

We need to create competition for places.
