The dots don’t join up atall. There’s a some huge gaps missed out, July until the window shut, and from then to Monk getting the sack. Must be 3 months at least where nothing seemingly happened. Like a limit of 25 players. There was something like this mentioned when Westwood was brought back, that we had 24 and had to check if we could register him as the 25th? Was holding out for a move to us. I don’t know. Interview doesn’t make much sense but lad was put on the spot a bit. I think he’s a decent signing on paper. We clearly have a recruitment team which is looking for players with or without a manager. Green was clearly highlighted in the summer and for one reason or another it didn’t get done. Had a chance to sign him now, so we have done. Good age, hopefully fairly cheap, no fee involved - I’d like to think it’s fairly low risk. Encouraging Downes was involved. Sounds a bit like Wednesday came in for him but he was hoping for a better offer, a better off never came in so in the end thought sod it I may as well sign for them then.
