Are we talking about the same Kachunga?

Elias - 3 goals in his last 3400 minutes - Kachunga?

For comparison, Rhodes has scored 15 over that same time.

3 goal Kachunga should stay. 15 goal Rhodes good riddance?

Interesting view.

According to my mate who’s a Town ST holder, Kachunga was a good pacy striker several seasons ago, but got an injury that robbed him of his pace, but he became a hard-working reliable popular RW.

Once Rhodes goes this is our “strikers”:-

Windass

Paterson

Kachunga

Marriott

Whoever we buy/loan

IMO Rhodes is not top of my sell-a-striker list.

There isnt one striker on that list, we needed 3 strikers at the end of the season and we still need 3. Rhodes or no Rhodes.

Kachunga should stay yes, as a winger, not a striker. Rhodes should go for 2 reasons, wages and hes rubbish.

Couldn’t agree more.

No idea what Monk thought he was doing picking up bits ‘n pieces forwards.

You don’t see wages on the pitch. You see players.

You trust us to buy/loan better than Rhodes?

Here’s our most recent track-record of bringing forwards in:-

Marriott

Kachunga

Paterson

Windass

Whickham (2020 model)

Da Cruz

If we use Rhodes’ wage to bring in better, fine. But will we?

Disagree.

Combine the cost of Kachunga and Marriott and bring in a proper striker. Shocking management.

they cost next to nothing. You could argue we didnt need Kachunga anyhow as we didnt. I dont know why we didnt sign an out of contract striker though, or two.

Looking at the amount we spent its easy to tell we have no money

Can’t disagree. But good managers identify what’s needed. Big jack and Wilco didn’t have fortunes to spend but found players like Andy Mac And Gary bannister who could do a job. Of the players monk signed none of them have done a job. Awaits the posts about monk didn’t sign the players despite saying he did.

i dont know who signed the players, i just know they werent what we needed by a long stretch of the imagination, i dont know how these guys actually get a job to be honest, the gaps in our squad and are clear for all to see, yet our club seems to be full of people who cannot see

What we need is some reliable football advisors who can advise Mr C on who is a good, available striker.

Those reliable advisors seem to be trying to find him another CB to add to our sizeable collection.

But he is by far the most expensive and no point in keeping him if he is continually not used by every manager we appoint.

I suppose it would be wise to allow whoever the new manager is time to assess whether he would want to use Rhodes but we haven't been wise Owls in the transfer market for some time.
