Look at Fulham’s transfer business, in the season we’re talking about, 17/18, and tell me they had £13m and £30k per week money burning a whole in their back pocket. Nixon’s a forum scanner, pieces togetherness snippets of gossip and posts them as his own. The self proclaimed king of transfer gossip.

Again, like I asked you last time, why would Fulham sell their best attacking option for £7.5 and then bid £13 for a replacement? Personally, I can't remember. But Nixon/McPlop may be better than our local journalists (that wouldn't be difficult), but the man's far from infallible. Hanging on his every word cannot be justified IMO. It's probably because our journos are so bad that Nixon seems so good by comparison. Our lot know nothing, in honesty, and get their info from this site. There are contributors to Owlstalk who've got a better network of snouts than they have. They've been stealing a living for years.

So I think there is an element of truth to be found. However the motives for using the press are far more interesting in my book. As for our local Journos, they can only press so hard, go to heavy and lose sources and access to clubs, would make them unemployable, very quickly. SallyCinnamon
Followed Nixon long enough to know that there’s always some truth behind his stories. He’s more often right than wrong.
SiJ
Nixon is halfway credible. If people aren't worried by the stuff that has been coming out in the last month then...
