Agree, apart from on VAR.

The issue with VAR is how it is being used and who is using it.

I dislike VAR purely because the rules of football should be exactly the same at all levels of the pyramid, regardless of whether you can afford expensive electronic equipment.  Football is universal - part of its appeal over other sports is that it needs no specialist kit, just a ball and a certain sized bit of grass.

The rules/laws should always be the same no matter the level for sure. I’d like to see the refs at the top send players off who swear at them like I’ve seen at the bottom.

VAR doesn’t change the rules, it just in theory ensures that the decisions taken by officials are correct for the most important decisions. You’ll always have differences at the bottom of football compared to the top, mainly because of the amount of money involved at the top, with or without VAR, but the money is the main reason why they want VAR

Encourages clubs to have even bigger squads, and allows the better off sides to bring on 5 international players worth about £200m.

At what point do not allow the best to get better? Do we end up like that shitty race series where all the cars were the same? That failed didn't it???

Wacky Races?

Forget what they called it but they had identical cars that could only be modified to a certain degree. Only way to work in football is tight wage and transfer caps. None of this Rooney as a player coach so they could pay him big bucks nonsense.

One way to get rid of that was proposed by somebody at Fifa a few years ago but they decided against it. He came up with it after working out that a ball is only in play for an average of 29 minutes in each half.

The solution to end time wasting - change football to be 30 minute halves and when the ball isn't in play, stop the clock. I'd love it.

I wonder how many last minute cramps and goalkeepers having to readjust their socks/boots we'd stop seeing...

Agree stopping the clock but keep it at 45 mins per half. Make em work for their money.
