people keep blaming Jos but we've thrown points away under bruce

Rotherham

Stoke

villa

leeds

Norwich

Ridiculous.

Were we supposed to win all of those games?

Look at the form table under Bruce. We are top 6.

True, although we lack pace and that's why some teams take liberties.

The snag is, how many of our better players will still be here next term?

Chansiri did it his way and lavished cash on the wrong managers.

Under normal circumstances I’d be buzzing mi t!ts off for next season, but the EFL might be taking a big juicy bite out of our arse so we’ll have to wait and see

Disagree

We don’t have the mentality.

We had two major PO relevant games in the run under Bruce and bottled them both.

Enjoy the rest of the season.

Not sure they've bottled any games. Unlucky to lose against Villa and outplayed by Leeds.

Draws against Reading & Rotherham now look equally damaging.

Wherever we land, the future is bright under this manager.

If you finish in the play-offs, you've got to win them.

Otherwise you get a hangover, and every time you lose a play-off it just heaps more pressure on you the next time you're in them.

It's like United and Derby, with all the play-off defeats they've had over the years.

Are we good enough to win the play-offs? No, if we're honest, not based on what we've seen.

Bruce has done very well with not his players, but we're short and we know we are.

He knows we are.

Norwich, Leeds and United aren't great when you look at their players, but they're all good teams, good units.

Bruce needs time to build a team.

Then we start.

It’s the hope that kills you

We’ll win the last 2 games and miss out by a couple of points and then over analyze every dropped point/injury time goal

The damage was done under Jostle.

The fact that we've even had a shot at the play-offs only underlines how well we've done in the new year.

At X-mas we were worried about the long drop.

It’s absolutely heartbreaking tbh. Deservedly Draw and win against villa and Norwich respectively, and we’d be right in the mix. If we’d have got in I’d really have fancied our chances too.

All this while the snorters edge towards automatic. Gutting.

The only game Bruce has got tactics wrong was Leeds game where we went in with too many slow/lack of energy players. Against Norwich the other team who play high energy and have pace this was changed and it worked. Only a few teams play with real high energy and pace and prior to SB joining us we would have been in danger of being overwhelmed against sides like this. We still have an unbalanced squad and manager has had no real chance to address this.

To criticise manager for the defeats we have endured is neither fair or reasoned in circumstances.

The damage was done under JL - as such we had no real margin of error under Bruce, an almost Impossible ask given the level, availability and overall state of our squad.

and it fails to take into account who we had to play and what those respective sides had to play for.

..so to focus on the last 10 or so games in isolation from the rest of the season really isn’t appropriate.

The game at Elland Road changed when Reach went off, although no guarantee it changes the result but would have given us an outlet.

He's identified that we need pace,  having publicly announced that, Id be amazed if he doesn't act in it.

I'm expecting a Neil Maupay type player leading the line next season.
