Now he isn’t good enough. Players at this level are inconsistent, hence why they are at this level. He is good enough , but he won’t be 10 out of 10 every game. Not saying he isn't good enough, saying that Fletcher deserved to keep his place after playing so well on Wednesday night!!! You should ALWAYS play the player in form. Nuhiu started but should have been subbed as it clearly wasn't his day, that's not to say he won't have other days just that today wasn't his. Jos got it wrong, nobody died, just giving constructive criticism just as i gave praise on Wednesday and today where if was due.

Surely the short term thinking was to believe Nuhiu had suddenly turned into a quality striker at the end of last season, despite plenty of evidence to the contrary. I agree But from what Jos had seen last season, he would likely have expected Nuhiu to be the better choice The summer saw Atdhe get a new contract and Fletcher linked to moves away (while getting criticised for his high wages on OT) Maybe Jos will change his opinions on the 2 players. But it sounds like we still need to move someone out, before anyone comes in
Neon Nick
Borukov might be worth a look, as the "lone central man", the Cup match would be a nice runout.
DJMortimer
Fletcher needs a goal though. His recent scoring record is not very good and he's wasted a few good chances (especially against Hull) already this season. But it seems he is clearly the one best suited to the role of target man. Ever the pessimist
Did anyone hear praise or grumble last night when a prank caller managed to call Wilder a nasty name live on air?
